Fancy dress anyone?

I don't do fancy dress, but I'm reluctantly being dragged along to a fancy dress party next weekend. The geek in me wants to go as something game-y and I have an idea in mind that I'll post in this thread if it comes to fruition.

I'm more interested in hearing about, and seeing embarrassing pictures of, other folks fancy dress costumes. Any takers? Doesn't have to be fancy dress, maybe you just like to dress up..I won't tell anyone;-)

I won't post pictures here -- because I don't think the AGS forum is the right place for that -- but I made an amazing steampunk costume 2 weeks ago (it was REALLY cool, hence the arrogant statement).

The trick is to have a cheap girls accessory shop close to your place. Here in Ireland it would be Penney's (I don't know in other countries).

You go there, you buy a shitload of accessories that you can dismantle in order to use every bit of them (e.g. cheap belts in fake leather, plastic glasses, etc.). Then you just glue back together what you need, you spraypaint it, and there you go. If you can sew, it's even better.

Really, it's all about the shopping phase, fishing for cheap shit that will create the illusion.

I already have a Halloween costume planned for this year, it is game-related and it will be AWESOME.

Past few Halloweens haven't been too bad actually:

Last year my girlfriend and I went as the band Sparks (myself as the keyboard player, her as the singer.)
Year before we were Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers (BEFORE the film came out, yes, we ARE the coolest.)
Year before thaaaaaaat I was Rorschach from Watchmen (again, before the film came out.)
And the year before that me and Jake had a competition to see who could do the best Two-face (again, before Dark Knight came out, but I'm pretty sure everyone knew who I was anyway.)

Yes, you're right. I am awesome.

So is it a cool movie that seems to be coming out? By your costume choice it seems you can pick out winners.

onT: I look bad in a suit, or the suits I tried, I look bad in them, plus I'm very unfotogenic, so whatever you decide to wear, think that at least you're better than one person.

However, a friend of mine once came out for halloween dressed as Pyramid Head from Silent Hill. One of the most awesome costumes I've ever seen!
