Exploration+Puzzle games similar to the premise of The Witness

The exploration and adventure, combined with the overlying narrative and the axiomatic-like puzzle development of The Witness has me interested. I was told over at TIGSource that some of the members here might know similar games in terms of the combination of that sort of puzzle design and adventure/exploration - know of any?

The puzzle design of the witness, as far as i can tell, is they all center around making a path on these panels, which of course much satisfy certain conditions - you start at the very basic of drawing a line and then various conditions are added along as  you progress.

I don't know much about The Witness, but it looks a lot like Myst from where I'm sitting.  If you haven't played that, it's well worth a go.

I am  waiting for this for years now! It's the new game from "Braid"-Mastermind Jonathan Blow. I am so excited to try this one out. But I have to work! MUST... BE... STRONG...

Maybe you could check out "Ether One" or "The Talos Principle"...
