hugos house of horror (was this even DOS?)
I remember a game called centipede or milipede, it's like snake with more action
and find a C64 emulator for DOS :D

awesome tumblr!
- Hugo's House of Horror is DOS indeed (although there's a windows version too)
- Centipede is for the ZX81 only and Milipede is for the Commodore (PET/CBM) only. The first DOS (pc-booter though) version was 'The Exterminator', a clone of Centipede.

Well, you can screw the gameplay mechanics of MK compared to tekken and the like, but there is some morbid graphical beauty in the game. The whole selling point of the game is the over the top violence in pixels that attracts teenage players and some fatalities, which are the only reason to play the game, are gruesome and creative in one. I'd screencap and gif the hell out of MK ;)

I'd rather kick disembodied heads around and be choked to death by disembodied hands in Blood. ;)

A few gems to add or look at:

Universe
Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession
Ravenloft: Stone Prophet
Buck Rogers: Matrix Cubed
Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday
Wasteland
Alone in the Dark 1-3
Shadow of the Comet
Prisoner of Ice
Menzoberranzan
The Legacy: Realm of Terror
Al-Qadim: The Genie's Curse
Veil of Darkness
Ultima: Savage Empire
Ultima: Martian Dreams
Innocent Until Caught
Guilty

There's more but I can't find them on my PC right now.

Don't know of a couple of those - never even heard of Prisoner of Ice or The Legacy: Realm of Terror. I'll check those out (and some of the others are definitely on the list), thanks.
