Woo-Hoo!
I have just sropped the first slice of code on the script editor, and I have started creating my very first AGS game.

Only problem is, I dont know what I should name my game, so I was wondering if our readers could decide...

This is a medium-lengthed game about a guy named Jimmy.
On December 24th, Jimmy realises that he forgot to buy his son a gift!  Oh, no!!!!!!  With no funds in the virtual bank and his car in Mat's Garage, out hero must find a way into the next town before it's too late!!!

Any suggestions for a name?

Im leaning twards, "A Christmas Story"  but I want YOUR input!!!!

I'm leaning towards this being in the wrong forum... ;)

Just as a warning, if you give your game that name people may think it's some sort of game adaptation of the excellent movie "A Christmas Story"

How about "Release the Frogs!"?

Nostradamus

It should be "Cheap Bastard Quest"
or maybe "24 Hours till Daddy Gets it"
or how about "Jimmy Vales: Xmas Gifts Aren't Easy"

Hey, those are real great Nostradamus :)
When I think of names for a game, they usually just come to me when desiging the story, sometimes playing with puns, or using something that isnt main in the game- thats is, I dont like naming a game for what it is, the name should create interest and should make sense mostly after the game. For example, Grim Fandango has a good name, and TLJ didnt (IMO).
A name with a subliminal message may be interesting aswell. ;)

As for your game, I think the best person to think up a name is you, just do some brainstorming, but if you want my opinion, I like Nostradamus' names (the second one in particular ;)), and maybe "The (no) gift season".. hmm, not too good :P

edit: That was quie a ramble for so little to say, just some naming theory I guess.

Welcome and good luck!

QuoteJimmy Vales: XMas gifts aren't easy...

...Depends on what the gift is, doesn't it?

Minimi

"The greatest gift"

maybe you could make a twist in the story, wich is that the hero can't find the present and comes home to his boy, and just hugs the boy, and tells him "I love you, my dearest son!".... so that's the greatest gift... but dont tell anyone!  ::)

It was my pleasure, RTF. Thanks for the future credits incusion.  ;D

Wow, that's funny.
A couple of years ago I starting writing a comedy-horror game called 'Silent Night, Holy Crap!'.
Not kidding.
I hope yours is better than mine was turning out to be.
