I don't know if many people know about this, but i thought i'd post it anyway. It lets you upload any type of file to their server and gives you a link to it that lasts for 7 days. No more free hosting bandwidth limits when people try to d/l your games!

If somebody has a big file which is say 5mb and over, and esp if you have only a dial up, like me, then having to re upload a file like that becomes a big problem. It takes longer to upload something than to download it...at least for me.

The only good purpose I can see of this is if you want to get a big file to another computer and don't have any CDs.. Still very interesting, though..

On second look, the site itself advertises it as a way to send "attachments" without filling up their mailbox or worrying about file size limits.

Hopefully the person you send it to checks their mail more frequent than every 7 days..

Plus, if you need it because you have no CDs, hopefull you upload it as you need it..

So bleh.

Surely there must be a catch. What do they get out of it? Hosting that much data on their web servers for absoloutely no cost...

Maybe they give out the e-mail address of the person you're sending the file to, to advertisers or something alike... ?
