Hint:
Check inside the dome and in the same screen you  started in.
Also you may have overlooked a spell in the process.
(I know I did until I smacked myself)

Click on the crumbled rocks and you get the Crumbling Spell _|
Use this spell on the crack in the dome                                      _|
Also you will need to leave and come back inside. (trust me)
