Al Gurbish in Nick it and Run

I just finished this game but I'd like to report a bug.

WARNING SPOILER BELOW!!
(I would use the spoiler thingy where you hide what you're typing but I don't know how  )

When you are in the custom's office at the end and you have put the elixir on the counter with your passport, Vlad doesn't automatically say you can enter.  In fact, he continues with the dialogue as if you can't enter. 

Subsequently I tried to retrieve my elixir from the counter and the game crashed.

The following message came up:

ACI version 2.54.495
Error: prepare_script:error_2
(no such function in script) trying to run 'object1_a' (Room 28)

Besides, I don't think the author can or will do anything about it anymore, since the game is pretty old now.
