Jimmy Chamberlin is an insane drummer, definetly have to love his chops.  To me thats what made me listen to Smashing Pumpkins back when I was a teenager.  Jimmy Chamberlin is now doing hybrid fusion/rock album called the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex.  Really nice stuff!

How come we all don't pick on, just completely out of random, Andail, or Nikolas, or yodaman11111?

It's not very random that you pick on me. Weren't you the one who publically tried to revolt against me and my moderatorship?
Why can't you choose to pick on somebody completely else, like....Pesty?

Helm

Yeah, pick on Pesty. She's too sassy for her own good.

Hi guys,

just wanted to tell you my impression....

Just returned from the Staind gig in Cologne...

The "warm-up" band was Mad Doggin, never heard of them so far...the drummer was excellent, but I did not like the texts about -suicide-killing- etc...A bit too heavy for me...

But as an old Staind fan..I do not need to tell you
about the main act..
It was just excellent!!!
Just simply this "melodic" metal I like..and also the ballads were amazing!

Hope the guys will come back to Germany very soon.

ManicMatt

"But as an old Staind fan..I do not need to tell you"

*Waits for Helm to say something about that*

Hehe sorry couldn't help myself!  ;D

Petra

ok....

doesn't matter...

The tastes are different....

Best Rock Song?

Do I need to answer that?

The BEST rock song EVER is SO obviously:
"Let the reason be love" by Boyzone.

I thought they said marijuana would do my brain good. Oh well..
SING ALONG EVERYBODY!

DONT LOVE ME FOR FUNNN, GURLLLLLL,
LEMME BE THE ONE, GURRRRLLLLL,
LOVE ME FOR A REASON:
LET THE REASON BE LUUUVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV..

It brings tears to my eyes.. :'(

ManicMatt

Don't blame marijuana for your poor taste in music.

Adorewood

You do realize I was trying to be funny? Wait, WAIT! I wasn't trying to be funny after all. I was just deciphering the bourgeois esoteric thoughts that roam in each dented pride of the lone unbreeding soul.
I'll blame marijuana again for the last sentence. That's one thing I learned in school. If you can't do something, then BLAME, BLAME AND BLAME HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

I myself prefer their earlier works. They'd become so *commercial* by that point, that it interfered with their music. Another less well known Rock band with some excellent songs would be Westlife.
If you are not too intimidated by non-english rock, Awaz is a Pakistani band with some excellent soft-core blue punk-acid rock.

Would Pete Seeger qualify as rock?

Hammerite

Soundgarden's cool too.
and i know that qualifies as rock.
i used to be indeceisive but now im not so sure!

modgeulator

Limp Bizkit - "Behind Blue Eyes." Best song Fred Durst ever wrote and he's my hero.

veryweirdguy

I hope you're kidding, but it's hard to tell on the interweb.

You DO know "Behind Blue Eyes" is a "The Who" song right?

Apart from that, I'm not going to comment on your choice of Fred Durst as a hero - I just disagree.

Hammerite

i was about to mention 'the who' thing.
i used to be indeceisive but now im not so sure!

Petra

Now again my poor ugly opinion..... ;D

Just heard the new album by Live....ok it's rather acoustic..but with someone you love by your side it's great:-)

And another one is Blue October...
My old good fanshioned friend brought it to me today... And I have heard it twice..and I liked it....

And belive me...it does not matter very often, that I hear a CD twice....

Petra

happen...of course....Sorry I'm still having concert here and my concentration is poor:-(
