Petra

Hi, all

It's me again ???

Have just read your comments about registring and so on...

Have tried this twice but it did not work...so, please be patient with me!!

Do not want sending any posts regarding AGS and technical problems (as requested in the register formula)  but just simply letting you know perhaps some awesome music ( at least for 2 or 3 of you)

So, especially Helm....
Even though I did not like Meshuggah too much, please don't be angry with me for all time:'(

Try Blue October instead ;D ;D
Hate me today, hate me tomorrow....

Greetings to all here!!

Petra

Aerials by System Of A down. If you classify that as rock.
have you heard of alice in chains, i find them KIND OF similar to System Of A Down (but more grunge and less experimental)
i used to be indeceisive but now im not so sure!

I don't see how?

They sound entirely different.   :P

I do remember seeing Les Claypool dressing up as a rooster and jumping around the stage during that same song at an Alice in Chains gig .. quite amusing

They do if you don't have much frame for reference. If you listen to Gorguts and Beatles only, you'll eventually settle to 'both bands use guitars' as their similarity.

Ha ha ha! This amused me lots!

But yeah I'll agree to Alice in chains being good. Didn't the singer die many years ago? Please remind me.

"Tales Of Brave Ulysses" - Cream
"Disappointed" - P.I.L
"Personal Jesus" - Depche Mode

Good taste, that man! or fish...

a few of my favourites:

"Only Shallow" - My Bloody Valentine (personal fave Irish band :))
"Cannonball" - The Breeders
"Safari" - The Breeders (again)
"Seether" - Veruca Salt
"I Feel You" - Depeche Mode
"Falling Away" - The Like
"Love in a Trashcan" - The Raveonettes
"Murdermile" - The Kills
"Leave them All Behind" - Ride
"Sad and Lonely" - Secret Machines
"Agenda Suicide" - The Faint
(EDIT: I can't BELIEVE I forgot this next one, it's probably my all-time favourite song)
and
"Baby You Should Know" - Joy Zipper

And a couple hundred more absolute classics, but we'll stop there. It's not so much a problem of what's a truly great tune, more a case of how to narrow it down.
