Not at all, I mean like VNV Nation. (The most popular example)

I'm not entirely sure on what is classed as EBM or not, but I don't think the two artists you mentioned are.

EDIT: My fave EBM (According to wiki) is And One.

I was going to save my second post for my GiP thread, but as I love Rock and Roll so much...

Out of the Frying Pan (And into the Fire)

The Meat Loaf version.

Every song on Bad for Good is better than any subsequent Meat Loaf cover except for that one.

Jim Steinman can write on helluva good song.

*WARNING: RANT AHEAD*

Jim Steinman wrote Bat Out of Hell -- The biggest selling debut album of all time.

He wrote Total Eclipse of the Heart (yes, I know that song sucks...) and Making Love (Out of Nothing at All), and because of this became the only songwriter ever to have two songs on the Billboard Top 10--One and Two.

So why is it this guy isn't the most amazingly popular guy in the world?

*RANT CLEAR*

just because it sold well doesnt mean its good.  ;)

Oh, how I know that.

But the thing is, he should be at least popular, wouldn't you think?

He wouldn't be all niche-y.

Ah well. At least I'm all differnt n stuff.

I was under the impression that Bad by Michael Jackson was.. ???

That would require Bad to be Jackson's debut album--which it wasn't.

And if you missed debut, the biggest selling of all time is Their Greatest Hits, an Eagles compilation from '76.

I've learned about Rock while playing GTA3.

The almost only times I listened to Rock, in my life, were when I was playing a game from the GTA series.

Now, since you are still reading this, I have decided to finally tell you what is in my opinion the best ROCK song ever! The bad thing is that I can't remember its name and the band.

Now, if you are STILL reading this, it had lyrics something like " in the desert you can't remember your name..". Can you tell me what's the song?

For me THE best rock song ever has been (since I first heard it), and always will be:

Everlong - Foo Fighters

If you've never heard it, do yourself a favour and have a listen. It sends shivers down my spine, I even bought a guitar mainly intending to learn to play it. Not only that, but the acoustic version is a good one to play to a lady friend.  ;)

I'm going to watch them in concert in April, and that song is always last... can't wait!
Shadow Wrath
Project Leader, Shadowshift Games

CosmoQueen

KPop and AGS....................that is my life.
