Very very nice game, as i commented in the game section.

Almost perfect, to me, except it is a too short ;)
Very immersive !

arrrrrrrr

lol

I really like the graphics too, it's amazing what you can do with so few colors, I am covered in shame while using shadows / filters and antialiazing, you master the fine art of pixel drawing, all my congratulations.

( Do you seek any job ? ;p )

Not much time for gaming neither creating, but keeping an eye on everything :)

Petra

Still the download link does not work for me >:(

Grrrr, I love this game and would like to play it again.
I'll keep on trying.

Mordalles

just tried it again, and the download works. the problem must be on your side, petra.  ;)

Thanks! Thanks for playing :) I'm not good with the brushy painty look in bgs so i have no other option but to go plain pixel  ;D

I'm sorry for the trouble. Hmm, the link should work. It's rather small, i could try and e-mail it to you? Is that guest e-mail your real e-mail?

Absolutely great! :D It's just amazing! Except Apprentice I and II, this game and bernies Cedric and the revolution is the best ags games i have played! :D :D
That's quite flatteringÃ,  :-[ I don't know about thatÃ,  :P

No, seriously! It's only flaw is the length of the game :)

TassieDevil

Well done, I finally completed it. I really enjoyed that game!

The only trouble I had was undoing the knot - must be a timing thing. :D

Drat ! The game was going great until I got this error while the digging for the treasure cut scene was playing:

-----
An error has occured. Please contact the game author for support, as this
is likely to be a scripting error and not a bug in AGS.
(ACI version 2.71.872)

in Room 7 script (line 46)

Error: MergeObject: unable to merge object due to color depth differences
-----

I'm playing with the Mac AGS player if that makes a difference.

I'm playing with the Mac AGS player if that makes a difference.

Yes, that'll be why it did that. Unfortunately the Mac version always runs in 32-bit, no matter what the original colour depth was, so problems like this will show up with games that were 16-bit and use RawDraw functions and so on.

There is no cure I'm afraid apart from awaiting a new version of the Mac AGS player.

Loving this game, by the way. You make drawing beautiful backgrounds look easy.

Thanks steve, and for explaining that. I didn't know about that.

For interest sake (i'm not very smart), would it help if the game's colour depth was changed 32-bit?

Kweepa

Yes, I think it would.

Before releasing a 32-bit version for the mac, you could give me a link and I can check it works. I may have to bug you (or check the hints and tips forum) to test the offending (no offence!) part.

lakerz

buloght, this is a great game you've crafted!  Very enjoyable to the end.  The artwork and smoothness of the screens is great.

scourge

Thanks lakerz! :)

Steve: I'll compile a 32-bit one and send it to you first  ;D thanks.

The Ivy

Hey buloght, I finally had time to finish this game, and I have to say it was the best I've played all year :).Ã,  It's a little gem of a game, totally unexpected, and it kind of felt like finding $20 on the sidewalk.Ã,  The art was practical and cute, the puzzles were mostly intuitive, and it was just long enough to leave the rest of us wondering "Who is this buloght guy?"

Also,
Spoiler
"Here Claws, read my mind!"

had me laughing out loud for a good while.Ã,

My only bit of unsolicited advice is about some of the interactions.
Spoiler
For example, I felt like "use shovel on water" should have done something at the beginning, as it's not obvious that you can use it with the map to move around (at least it wasn't to me).Ã,  Later on, "use telescope on cliff" didn't make as much sense to me as, say "use telescope on Captain Bloodhook."

These are just nitpicky things to think about; like I said the game was fantastic, and it's even more amazing that you got it all done in time for a MAGS.Ã,  Hope to see you around the forums :).

scourge

Thanks ivy! :)

I'll remember what you said for previous games.

I am really looking forward to The Spooks!
