Great Backgrounds

What is the best way to make a great background?
Photoshop, Paint...?
My backgrounds are very poor. Have any tutorial?

This is the wrong forum to ask this question. Try the Tutorials thread for tutorials, or the Big List of Paint Programs for an idea what other people use.

Also, try searching the forums - this question gets asked a lot. The short answer is: Use whatever program you feel most comfortable with, and just keep trying until you're happy.
