i must admit i was a zak fan and this game is what i was looking for... so... thanks for the time you put into this project!

to prove that i am a true zak fa, i made a re-make of the original intro music with a SID synthesizer i built myself following some scheme found on internet (http://www.ucapps.de)

you can listen to the tune here:

it is like the original, and i tried to reproduce the sounds (all made with the SID chip, the 6581 one... no software-produce sounds... )

i would be honoured if you want to use the music in your game.. ;-)

A little late on the schedule - And I can't even blame the nice weather outside  (a.k.a the place where there's no computer)

Tech note (For whom who may mind):
a) Needed to put all rooms 'before fadein' and 'afterfadein' into brackets to solve a little annoying bug. if (locations_number > 90 )

That part is all done now.

b) The bad effect of Testing : Being over-critique : So, I'm re-doing 3 rooms location from scratches. - The puzzle just don't fit with the game tempo and the graphx in one, killed the zany athmosphere inc. from the other. Anyway.

c) Still asking myself about the Bosone Wonderful sid song. Those 10 extra seconds are going to be 400 funny game cycle from my intro.... it worth it but... it still 400 game cycles and I can't just let cZak.stare_at_the_camera(400); to fit the music....

d) It's been 350 days that I'm on that game... I should have listen to my mother and make amateur porn instead.

i can try to fasten up the tempo to gain some seconds or to cut some part (how!!!???)

After a rainny summer, I finally complete the rebuilting of the game using a different set of Variables / and a different layout using speeches at the top of the screen like the original.

Here! After rebuilting the whole shebang for I don't know how many times, here for you my friends, a shourt 6 rooms demo. That's more than an Alpha, less than a Beta.

That's  the dream part of the intro, the New Society for Ancients Wisdom and one street of San Francisco.

Hey, dan, I just want to show you my love to anything you do for no apparent reason. Also I am downloading and hoping for Blade Runner references.

At last!  I run the Zak McKracken archive, and this is the only sequel that ever got me excited. The other sequels have been great and all, but this is the only one I have really looked forward to. It's the only one that seems to grasp the real beauty of Zak, the greatest game ever made.

I thought this project was dead, and this is the greatest Christmas present ever. Keep up the good work!!! Now I really need to update my site...

Great demo so far, I only had time for a quick playaround. Awesome!
Don't even think about not finishing this project or having another 20 years of lazyness... ;)

Even More Feedback:
Bug1:
While outside, walk to the most left.
The GUI disappears and you get the message "The Demo stop with this street".
But then the GUI doesn't re-appear...

Bug2:
When in front of JAJA'S esoteric Cafe (tm) walk to the north.
The GUI disappears and you get the message "The Demo stop with this street".
But then you do end up in a different street, in front of 'The National Inquisitor' building.
