So, I was looking at the AGS splash screen for the millionth time as it loaded up, and I got thinking that the "by Chris Jones" subtitle on the splash screen is a bit egotistical and dull.
So then I thought, maybe we can make up a really cheesy official subtitle for AGS that would go on the splash screen and maybe on the website too. You know, something like "Make your dreams come true" or maybe something cynical like "Our clocks stopped in '91".

Any ideas?

Sloganizer here says:

«AGS: Will be for you what you want it to be.»

No, seriously - personally, I think the "by Chris Jones" isn't too egoistical and dull, but if you really want to change it into something cheesy, I'd suggest things like "Quality doesn't need to be expensive" or something similiar.

how about these

" Going places only you have heard of"
" Telling the stories that you want to hear"  (hmm )
" What other things can you do with a big blue cup"
" Where the grass does in fact grow greener" (sounds too drug related )
" Be your own boss and earn upto £1,000,000" *
" If Carlsberg made Adventure games they would use this Program"** Used "hoorah"

Im going more and more cynical now but i really like

Come on, you can hardly get more cheesy than that.

You don't need any ideas, brilliant! :D

I have to agree that the '91 tagline sounds great to me, but I like coming up with stuff like that, so I'll throw in my two cents:

How about:

"It's better than PONG"

"AGS, 'cause we love the classics"

"We point, you click" (doesn't make much sense)

"Back to the past"

"Where there's a game, there's a program" (also doesn't make much sense)

Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

I don't know, that's pretty close to "A man, a computer and a dream...."

My two cheesy cents   -mmmmmmm, cheesy cents - are:

"Yesterday's Future, Today!"
"Rebuilding the past since 1997"
"Let's do the time warp, again."  etc. etc.

This whole tagline idea gets me thinking about Arachnospores: the fatal spores with the funny name.  Is it possible to select the twenty/thirty best taglines and have them randomly cycle?

Babar

Hahah....how about:

"Adventum Ex Machina"
"Venatus Ex Machina"
"10 years behind the times"
"Better than Scum"
"Prepare for Adventure"

Good stuff guys, there's a lot here that I like. I think I'll pick the best 10 or so and have them randomly chosen for the splash screen. In the meantime, keep 'em coming ;)
