This is my VERY first 3d image, well the first I am happy enough with to show anyone.
I made it using anim8or (not a misspelling) and added the water post-production
Its lathes and smoothed stacked blocks, whats ya all think?

Not bad. I use Anim8or, it's not bad.

The water is a little low.

Maybe double the polygons that make the fountain round, raise the water level...and I hope you're going to have water spouting out somewhere ;)

The only thing I'm gonna add to the already posted comments is that the light looks weird. And maybe you could throw a texture on it too.  :)

Is this the very very very first one? If so, then its awesome! You don't want to see my first 3d render  :=
I am just a shallow stereotype, so you should take into consideration that my opinion has no great value to you.

I would recommend using spheres, rather than smoothed boxes, and, as stated early, upping the polygon count. The basic construction is fine, though.

i would have lathed the whole piece as once object and made more subdivisions on the lathe rotation
