Nessun problema Abisso, Tequila!

Sono d'accordo sul fatto che una traduzione combinata non e' la migliore idea.

Buon lavoro :)

Sorry about not translating :

No problem Abisso, Tequila!

I agree that a combined translation is not a good idea.

Good work :)

Ok, vedo che vi siete messi d'accordo!

Vince, se vuoi puoi sempre aiutarmi facendo il beta-tester della versione inglese.
Come vuoi...

Abisso, ti mando il file nei prossimi giorni che sto modificando alcune cose..
Grazie!

Oh darn, I was enjoying it so much, and now I got stuck in a terrible bug. :'(

As you can see, no way out of that conversation. Result: game prematurely ends.
Reach for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

Kneel. Now.

If you need an italian I could help out..I guess
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

I have tried and ri-tried but I have not found that your bugs....

There are two version game.... Probably, you have the old version.

Rui 'Trovatore' Pires

No, I installed the new version over the old version.

But I loaded a savegame from the old version.

Which means I'm going to have to restart the game, I suppose. Bleh.

I thought it was impossible... I mean, it can't even load a game saved with a different screen resolution.. I hope this thing is fixed in RC5. :-\

Savegame from the old version aren't good in the new version.  Particularly for that dialog!
Sorry

Tequila, it was a very funny game and nicely done (graphics, dialogs, puzzles). Congratulation!

E ti prego di non parlare italiano perche non tutti capiscono, grazie.

Dualnames said:"E ti prego di non parlare italiano perche non tutti capiscono, grazie. "

Translation: And I ask you not to speak Italian, as not everyone understands it.

Is this some kind of meta-joke?

Anyway, Tequila, I finished the game and I enjoyed it. Check the mail for more details.

Hi, I've completed the Italian->English translation for the Curse of Life, by Tequila 144. Since I'm Italian, and my English is not the state-of-the-art, the author wants to be sure that the translation is good enough.
So, if anyone would be so kind to test it and write down the changes to be made, he'd have my gratitude.

Just write here if you're interested, and Tequila144 will provide you with all the necessary files to play the game in English.

Thanks for your attention.

I'd be willing to test it out. Could you answer the following questions?

1. How long is the dialogue?
2. Are you looking for perfect grammar, or what would generally be understood by the majority of English speakers?
3. Will I just be reading the text files - or - will I have a way to skip through scenes of the game to establish context?
4. What date does the review need to be completed by?

email: zenassem@hotmail.com

Thanks,
~Zenassem

So far I have edited up to page 31.

All of my changes begin with *** I didn't remove the original english translation for fututre reference
My comments are in ()'s like (or), (Not sure what you meant)
If I couldn't understand what a line was trying to say it wil begin with ???

I will finish the rest tomorrow

Cinfa

Tequila, remember to delete the old english lines before compiling the translation, or the whole thing won't work.
In AGS translation files you MUST have:

original line
translated line
original line
translated line
original line
translated line

...

BTW: "long enough" isn't the right translation for "abbastanza lungo", it should be something like "quite long".  ;)

Thanks Cinfa,

When I complete the last page tonight, I will remove the original translation lines and my comments. I wanted to leave them in for now, so I could go back over them after it's complete. This way if something doesn't make sense, I would still have the original translation.

BTW: It's taking a bit longer because of translations that make sense, but sometimes not quite what is meant. Just like 'long enough' and 'quite long'. Last night I almost edited "eruction" to "erection"; rather than "eruption". Good thing I caught myself. lol. Also trying to avoid any "All your base belong to us!"

Finally there are some vague, edits. Should I lean more towards U.K. words or U.S., ie Flat vs. Apartment. Colour vs. Color. Metric system vs. Feet & inches. etc...
