R.I.P. Pekka Pohjola

This is a sad moment to everyone who has ever listened to music. I usually don't like RIP threads, but here's a bassist, that basically made the grounds to me liking music and has been one of the most influental composers and players of bass, grand piano and violin in the Finnish music scene.

Here's thinking of a person, who's cooperated with such great names as Jukka Tolonen, Mike Oldfield and Frank Zappa and was the founding member of a Progressive rock classic, Wigwam, here performing with great Finnish musicians like Vesa Aaltonen (Tasavallan Presidentti) Pekka Pohjola Group - Ensimmäinen Aamu The name translates to "The First Morning".

On this occasion, I'll probably be ripping all my Pekka Pohjola cds to mp3 and listening to them on my mp3 player while I ride the train tomorrow morning.
