Hi. I'm searching:
* AGS Programmers
* Artists for graphics (inventory items, backgrounds, characters)
* Writers for story, dialogs and puzzles
for a Space Quest VII project. For now it's ready a draft of the introduction.
If you are interested please answer to: unmak1@gmail.com (or via PM)

EDIT: Since this project will be amatorial, you will NOT retributed with money.
Sorry for the eventual inconvenience.
But you will appear in the credits and you will have my eternal gratitude

Thank you.

Hello,

I'm looking for someone to record just two or three lines of dialogue for the upcoming Cat Lady trailer. It's got to be a woman, between 20 and 50, preferably with a really sad, melancholic voice, with a good quality mic.

Just realized this sounds like a personal ad in the man-seeking-woman section of a newspaper.....:)  But I assure you it's not:) I have no interest in romantic getaways, friendships or possibly more, and such. I just need the 3 short audio files...

I know there aren't that many female AGSers (although now I know there are more than I used to think there were) so maybe someone's got a girlfriend or wife (or sister) who'd fulfill these criteria? If you do, that'll be a twenty minute job and a great help for me, as the trailer's nearly finished, just little touches like this are  now needed to make it great, instead of just good:)

In return I offer my eternal gratitude ( and mention in the credits).

    Thanks:)

I would like to have one or more persons to test my puzzle game Blockz.
For now I've build 25 levels and before I continue to build [way] more of them I'd like to have these 25 levels tested.
This is because before I continue to build more of them I want all possible flaws I might have overlooked pinpointed and fixed.
After having done that I can continue to build the way I do without having to fix all levels afterwards  ;)

So, I need you to have a good look at the following points:

* While playing a level a block should never overlap another one while moving
* When finished a level the next level should start up
* When starting a level, the level should be unlocked in the levels overview
* When starting a level the level wil be auto-saved.
Quit the game after entering a new level and restart the game: the last unlocked level should be started.
* When selecting an unlocked level from the levels overview, that level should start up.
* When selecting a lower unlocked level [e.g. level 2] while having higher levels already unlocked [e.g. level 3 and 4],
the higher * unlocked levels should stay unlocked after finishing the lower unlocked level [level 2].
* And of course all other strange game behavior and weird issues.

PM me if interested.

Of course your name will be in the game credits when the final version will be released.

The Fountain of Youth team are urgently looking for a new experienced pixel artist to work on characters, mostly creating them from scratch and undertaking some of their animations.

You'll be assisted by Kai, talented AGS forum member. Sadly, Nacho, our lead, is very busy for a long while so we're looking for someone to fill his shoes for now and become a permanent member of the character art team.

You'll be required to follow the FoY/FoA/Nacho/Kai style of artwork:

Your first task will be to work on our additional characters in the intro, which is nearing completion but requires work on the character side of things. Proficiency in design of characters for low res is a must. If you're interested please get in touch with me right away, with examples of your work. Thanks!

I need some one to take girl character in my game and finish off her moving sprites + her 2 idle views. She only walks left and right so you can just add the left walking sprites to her. She already has her main view so you can add from there.

Her idle views are her taking out a clipboard and writing some down then putting it back.

Her next idle is her brushing her hair back with her hands.

PM me if you want to help with this.

Hey all, with Forge in heavy scripting mode I thought it would be time to add another dimension to the game.

Sound Effects Needed:
Assorted animal noises, beasts and birds.
Distorting metal.
Crumbling rocks.
Magic whooshings.
Other fun stuff.

Help could come from:
1) Personally being able to record more specific needs, or
2) Referring other functional resources such as SoundFont.

Thanks all!

For a while I've been conceptualising an idea for a medieval simulator, which gives you the chance to run your very own kingdom! You will have full control over everything that happens!

The general idea is decision making, diplomacy, resource harvesting, and controlling a medieval economy. I aim for it to be as historically accurate as possible - this part I have no problem with, I'm willing to put in time to make it as realistic as possible. I will be just as educational as it is entertaining.

On the coding front, I need a partner who I can work with to pull this thing together. You can work at your own pace because there is no rush. As far as I know, there isn't anything as in-depth as this available, so the project will be quite unique.

Please PM me if you're interested, it will be bags of fun! :) :D

Kind regards,

Oh-boy!  Recruitment time!

This is for my game "Incinerations" (you can view the announcement thread here which includes screen-shots and a trailer) and all I'm looking for are: musicians.

That's right.  Just musicians.

The game itself is mostly complete.  This includes animation, scripting, cut-scenes, etc.  However, since there's a whopping 40 minutes of video that needs music, I need a talented team of musicians to help bring this game back up to speed.  The music produced will be for video cut-scenes mostly, so it'll be more like producing music for film or television rather than in-game loops.  It is a freeware volunteer project, so I can't pay anyone, but I gather it will sound great in your portfolio nonetheless.

The soundtrack in question is meant to have a modern cinematic style to match the game's visuals so if you're interested in the challenge, fire me a PM and please provide a link to a sample or two of music you've composed.  I look forward to having you on the team!

I'm creating a series, Hetro Vs. Metro, more information on the "Games in production" page, under the same title. i was wondering if anyone would be interested in possible making it a series, much like ROTN. the premise consist of heterosexuals facing off against metrosexuals. i'm currently working on part one, but if anyone would be interested in helping with any part of it, such as music, sprites (i'm currently using the ROTN sprites.) or would be interested in adding their own game to the series. it would certainly be interesting to have people make game for the side of the metrosexuals. if interested, reply or PM.

Music
QuoteWe are currently looking for a score (either brand new or existing music which can be tailored for the edit) for a new feature film, which is in Post Production.

We are looking for a dynamic ambient score, to add weight to many of the dramatic scenes within the film. Composers which have influenced some of the styles we are seeking range from Brian Eno (for example his work on Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks), Elliot Goldenthal (Heat), Jonny Greenwood (There Will Be Blood), Eric Serra (Leon). These scores/composed pieces evoke an atmospheric and unobtrusive quality which we feel will add an very subtle yet dramatic element to the feature.

We are extremely limited financially due to the low budget nature of the film, but there is some money available. A full credit will be provided, including the poster, title sequence and DVD cover.

Our feature, “The Grind”, is a modern urban drama, set in world of sex, drug dealers, dance nightclubs and loan sharks. Vince (Freddie Connor) is the nightclub manager of The Grind in Hackney, East London and having fought his way to a decent living and respectable lifestyle he is determined to settle down and take life easier. Upon meeting and starting a relationship with Nancy (Zoe Tapper) Vince’s dream of running a casino for his Boss and getting married looks set.

Bobby (Gordon Alexander), Vince’s best friend from school, is released from prison and their friendship soon falls apart, Bobby’s addiction to cocaine and gambling spirals out of control and he now owes a huge amount of money to Vince’s boss, Dave (Jamie Foreman); owner of The Grind and an East End loan shark. Vince's life takes a dramatic turn for the worse. Loyalties are tested and friendships are pushed to their limits.

‘The Grind’ features a commanding ensemble cast including Jamie Foreman (Layer Cake, Nil By Mouth), Danny John-Jules (Red Dwarf, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Zoe Tapper (Survivors, Desperate Romantics) and Kellie Shirley (Eastenders, The Office).

Hi,

I know there a few good programmers here that could help me with something. Someone started a while ago this thread:
http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=37030.0

I was wondering if anyone here is capable + willing to write a plugin that uses the graphics card (so its not laggy)...it would simulate this effect more or less:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PNV09vPq8o&feature=related

Its for a full-screen 1024x768 "drunk" effect applied over everything in the game (gui's, characters, animations, etc), that I would later combine with other scripts (like a drunk-mouse that Im getting help with, and custom drunk-walk animations, etc)...is it possible to do this so that the FPS doesnt go below 30?

If someone is interested (with pay) please PM me!
Thanks!!

ps: Im serious about pay, negotiable (via paypal).

Hi

UPDATE.. No one needed now...

I need a brilliant code scripter to compose and incorporate some script for me.

The game is underway and I need help with the following:

The player goes around getting cash and goods then checksout (can checkout at anytime but only once).

SUMMERY
The ability to check player's inventory, give a price depending on what they have and finally have a final price for what they have... This is all done in the checkout room.

So its a type of Add-up game..

ie

Inv credit cards worth $100
Inv travel ticket worth $100
Inv pearl necklace worth  $500

and so fourth...

I will send a list of items that can be got along with its price for you to add to the script..

Full credit will be given.

cheers for any offers.

For the currently in the making "The Elder Stone" (working title), a new original adventure, I'm looking for a background artist.

Bullet(point)time!

- the artstyle needs to work with pixelated (but rather detailed) characters (this is very important)
- the resolution will be 320x240
- there are about 8 - 10 backgrounds
- there is a small payment per background (it's all privately funded, don't expect to make a living)
- the backgrounds will be medieval style (meaning castles, villages, inns, blacksmiths and so on)

My email is  th.fietzek(at)gmail.com (subject "TES - Backgrounds" (the subjectline is, so that I can easily find it :) )

If you are interested, shoot me an email to see if things can work out.

Currently I am remaking Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. This has been a life long dream of mine. This is the project I want to put ahead of all other projects, but I need graphical help for it. I have specifically cancelled this project 2 times already because of lack of a good graphic artist. So I desperately need help here.

Features of the Game:

*Updated puzzles and Jokes
*Updated Graphics
*More but I want to keep it a surprise.

What am I looking for? Well, I have seen the talent around here for AGS'ers and I am looking for a fresh and modern look for Zak. It can be DOTT Style, COMI Style, EMI Style, Journey Down STyle, Professor Neely style, MI 1 2 special edition style, Full throttle, etc... It just needs to be good and modernish.

What specifically do I need:

*Graphic artists to work on GUI's, items, animations, characters and backgrounds.
*Musicians to work on the soundtrack.
*Graphics will be 320x240 or whichever the artists prefer.
*There are atleast 12 or so characters that I will need done for the game and about 55 backgrounds.
*I can not afford to pay anyone.
*There is no deadline. We work on this in our spare time and have fun with it.
*I will take all input from all members who join my team.

If you are interested, PM Me please.
