Hi all good AGS...ers.

I got a new laptop running Windows 7.
I put my music and vids into the appropriate folders but something is strange.
When I open 'Media Library' it shows all of my music but doesn't show any of my videos.
It says that the video library is empty, which I know for a fact is wrong.

Has anyone had the same problem or am I just doing something wrong?

Many thanks.
Jay.

Did you have the stuff in the Video library or was it just "pointing" to another destination? If so, the "include-thing" might have disappeared for some reason. This has happened to me before. I just had to include the folder I kept my stuff in and all was well again.

Hi jon_swe.

Thanks for the reply.

In Documents you have Music, Pictures and Videos. inside Videos I have a folder named My Videos this is where I put my vids.
Now in media library I checked the "include-thing" and the folder to My videos is already there.
However it still doesn't display any vids and still says that the library is empty. ???

I don't know. I am at a loss. :(
I had the same vids on XP and they all showed up in media library there.
I know it's not a huge prob but all my pics and music show up fine. it's just bloody vids that are missing from library.

Many thanks.
Jay.

It seems that a lot of people have this problem, but there are no answers (that I could find) for it.
Try restoring the library to default maybe?  ???

jon_swe.

Thank You for your help,

It does indeed seem that other people are having the same prob.
I find this rather odd though as my Brother and Friends of mine have no probs at all.
Maybe an update will fix this for me and other people later. :-\

Thank you for your help.

If you mean MediaPlayer, try this:

Activate 'show hidden folders.'
Go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player
Delete the content of the folder
All your music/movies should be shown again in MP
