Yes, it's Thomas and the Magic Railroad, er... I mean, Race with the Devil.
It's a nice film, with some tense scenes. Probably a good candidate for the Movies That Should Have Been Bad But Were Awesome thread.

Well, that's obviously Nicholson. I knew it wasn't Wolf though... film stock is too early, he's too young, and he doesn't wear that outfit.

Never heard of the actual movie though. Is it good?

Okay,  I wasn’t sure it was that obvious that it was Nicholson.  It is a good movie, probably my favourite Nicholson performance but it leaves some people cold.
