News update!

The beginning of summer has been rainy here, so I've spent a little time on my game.

I was never really happy with the results of vector graphics as a basis. Works well as a backdrop but the characters and the gui became blurred and impersonal. I decided to do a redesign the game and I have pixilated it all as characters and objects. Backdrop is still the same high resolution. This with a very satisfactory result. Easier to make, and everything I have done as vector, are easy transfer over into pixels.

Examples of new graphics. Instead of having two characters that goes as I had before. I did a car, clever!

Has worked on a better star on the story, which will soon be finished.

Much work Left! Now I'm working on remake animations for the main character.

Ghost

I fully agree; the vector graphics were already very good but you just can't beat good, old-fashioned pixel-art. Looking forward to this gem even more now!

News update!

* I have completed the intro.
* 98% of the demo game that I did this spring is now redesigned.
* A friend will make music for the game. I not sure but think it gets a little retro feeling.
* Have viewed at different modules and used some of them.
* When you take a new object the menu scrolls up and the new object shown there.
Here is a quick test on Vimeo (low resolution): Testing menu and items.

Description module.

The big problem now is to fix someone who can work with the script. my weakness is my English.
As soon as the demo is redesigned and ready, can I promote the the game and get someone to help me with the story.

Adder

This is looking really intriguing - I'm looking forward to playing it! Really great images.

Martyn

Adder: Thanks a lot!

Yes, and here are three Backgrounds, new and never shown before!
They are from the intro sequence.

Location is in Southeast Europe in 1988. Do not know which country but I was in Croatia last year with my old VW bus, so inspiration comes from there.
I came up with the name Slavok City. Do not know if there's any such a place.
The act is set outside this city in the nearby village, where Joijo lives.

Game looks cool so far. Keep it up.
Woohoo, Croatia! Hey, if they can film Game of thrones here, why not an adventure game setting.

And now for the rest of my post, this isn't any critique or anything, just a small comment:
One thing though: I really have nothing against the name, but in Croatia and in neighbouring countries, I really can't think of a name of a city that's actually called "X City", there are a few "Xcity", like "Novigrad" or "Biograd" (as you can see "grad" means city, so that can help you if you're looking on Google maps or something) or there's Beograd in Serbia. And even when "grad" is used, it's not actually translated when named, so maybe something like "Slavokgrad" would actually be used and appropriate.
Again, I'm just saying this for information purposes only, I really don't mind you calling it "Slavok city".

If you need some slang words or some specific custom or terminology or location info, feel free to PM me.
