I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes.
Then I met the man with no feet.

Can't seem to do anything? No look, talk and use functions?

Also a lot of walkbehinds are not set (like the stone in the hippyscreen with the special tree and the doors inside the hero's tale inn in the village for example). The walk area's are sometimes a bit rough/odd.

If you scroll up to the top of the screen you'll find the icon bar ;)

Yea, you would have to had played the original game alot like i did to know where to walk. Although i agree, Some of the hotspots need trimming etc..

Thanks for testing :D
If you will, stick around every now and again.
There is much multiplayer and game testing that can be done on a daily basis!
I'm trying to get plenty of people playing daily so the multiplayer aspect will bring more life to the game.
Also its nice to see people running around and talking while i develop :D

Yeh, I know. I played the originals.
What I mean is that the look, talk and use options do not have a function (yet?). The all just result in walking.
Looks like talking only works on people you can trade with.

Q: is there a way to get money to buy stuff?

Ah, I see what you mean, The options already have functions, however the objects and areas of the game have not had look functions applied to them yet.
I'm trying to teach my wife to do those while I work on the sprite interactions/animations and battle system.  :D

Missed your question.
Not currently, although the character starts out with enough money to buy a few things, Perhaps i should add the healer with the ability to sell the mushrooms as a temporary means, thanks for mentioning it :D

also i made the drinks at the bar free:
so everyone drinks on me :=
Don't forget to try the dragons breath  :-X

Dragons breath :D

well, Some reason you can see frames that arent visible by the human eye, but there it is.
Due to the size of the file you might as well just download and play the game.
The entire game is the same size as this short video.

Let me know if anyone has issues seeing this GIF.
They should really allow vids on AGS forums, this GIF is like 72 mbs......
Which is 10x bigger than my game  :P

Good you mentioned this!   :P  I didn't even realize, that it is a real .gif-file because I already have left the page before it starts to run properly (756 images with 73,9 MB!!!).  :o  It is much too big to be of any good use here!
You can't really expect people waiting endlessly for watching this.
So I recommend you to post a link to a real video if you want to show such a part of the game.

Thanks for the input.
I had my suspicions about it, also I don't like producing things that couldn't be used by a 56k user.
Reposted it in link form, although that seems inconvenient.

I'm still looking for more beta testers to try and comment the game, thus increasing my -9999% motivation!

Well, after a major data loss and what we thought might be the end of this game,
We've managed to find a backup copy and have been working diligently to manually recover as much of the data from the corrupted copy and I believe the release to be stable enough to continue with the project after all. :D

The client is now available and the server is online!

Thanks everyone for your patience and support!

Do you still have the latest executables from before the crash? CJ might be able to reverse compile them possibly.

Icey

Grim maybe you should upload the back-up to mediafire or something cause the same thing could happen again.

Yea I still have them, but what i've been doing is opening the script files with notepad++ and pretty much cloning the code structure over little by little.
I've already cloned most of the client side multiplayer upgrades and i have the view scripts although the views and animations are corrupted  :-X
But i've come to accept the loss and am pretty happy with the progress.
Thanks for mentioning it bud :D

New beta battle system available!
Looking for testers.
Just walk down the trail leading to the right out of town.
Will be incorperated gamewide after extensive testing is done.

Well, I just dropped the last update I'll probably do for several weeks unless some people show interest in this.
The game is built to be encompassed by an active community on a daily basis and vary due to opinion of which we have neither...
perhaps If I'm super lucky when I get back to it there might be a person or two who plays daily or cares which direction it goes.
