Awesome!  I almost wish I hadn't played the beta builds already so that I could experience this as an entirely new game  ;D

I'm certain people will enjoy this one, you've put so much work into making it top quality.

Thanx for making such a lovely game Tino.

BLUNGA meets bug after climbing cliff and going near AHGAL. UNGA climbs down then says something then turns tiny then climbs back up then game crashes.

BLUNGA thinks game affects typing.

Eric

I'm probably not even a third of the way into the game and I've already enjoyed it thoroughly. But the real reason I'm posting is to let you know that I genuinely answered, "Noko noko," to a question today without thinking about it beforehand. Your game has affected the speech centers of my brain.

Knoodn

@ CaptainD & Arj0n: Thanx guys.

@ blueskirt: Hmmm, I can't reproduce this. Normally, after UNGA runs down, he should stay there. Did he walk up again without your influence? Did you click on the nest or did you just go near the nest? Was an inventory item active (though this should not matter)?

@ Eric: Oops! I'm genuinely sorry about that, should I? ;D I'm glad you enjoy it so far.

blueskirt

No item were active. I just interacted with the nest, and UNGA got scared, fled all the way down to the bottom of the cliff and when he was done saying he shouldn't do that again, UNGA's sprite turned back into the tiny sprite used when he's up the cliff and proceeded to walk back up, this time in a straight line (not using the shortcut), and when he reached the top, the game crashed.

I haven't tried to replicate it unfortunately. But I finished the game, I mean, BLUNGA finishes game. BLUNGA likes game. BLUNGA likes text and graphics and music and voices but mainly text and voices. BLUNGA needs SEQUAL.

MODERATOR EDIT: Don't quote entire posts for no reason, please.
If somebody says they know all the answers, they haven't been asked all the questions.

Knoodn

Thank you all for playing the game and for your comments.

Fact vs. Question:
Fact: It's good to catch a mammoth - if you can keep it for yourself.
Question: Did anyone see the second possible ending?

Question: Did anyone see the second possible ending?

I finished with the "failed" ending and I want to try again with the "succeeded" ending. I just don't know how far back I need to go (I have saves from each stage of the game) to try for the other ending.

SHADOW

Knoodn

To see the "succeeded" ending, you have to go to the beginning (but don't use an older save game!).

Would you be willing to PM me what you have to do differently at the beginning to play the "good" ending? It's a great game and I'd consider playing it all over but I'm not sure if I want to not knowing if I've taken the correct action to achieve the goal :)

Thanks!

Why don't you guys post a hint here so others (me included) may also find the good end?
Trying to make my first AGS game.

blueskirt

You could also find it by yourself, in true adventure game fashion.

Haha! Maybe I can. I'm just a little bit discouraged to play the game all over again only to find out that I couldn't do anything different.

Hum, but now that I am thinking about it...
Spoiler
I remember feeling guilty about picking up "a certain item" in the beginning of the game. Specially after I've found out that, later in the game, an infinite source of "it" was available somewhere else.

(re)Adventure Time!

[EDIT]
Just leaving that item alone didn't work... I'm out of ideas.

Knoodn

Hooray for blueskirt and his "true adventure game fashion"-idea!!

For all the others:
Spoiler
It's not a special action that triggers the other ending. It's the summation of several things you can do - not all necessary to reach the end.
So, pick up everything (if it's possible several times), talk to everybody and maybe you can do things in a different way?
That's the trick...

Oh, if this doesn't help, here is the nasty part:
Spoiler
It's very hard to succeed during the first run (it's possible, but very hard).
If you have played once, try again right from the beginning!

Ok, here are my comments on the game:

UNGA needs MUMBA is a light-hearted look at caveman life. Quality cartoon graphics, smooth animation and logical puzzles and plenty of laughs will give the player plenty of satisfaction for about 2-3 hours of gameplay.

WHAT I LIKED:
- I have to point to the humor as my number 1. I had more than a few good laughs while playing.
- Graphics, sound, animation and music are smooth and PERFECT for the environment intended. I happened to really like that little hand shake thing Unga does when he can't perform an action
- Excellent attention to detail. The effort to build a mini "caveman language" and develop individuals with names, accents and voices to match their personality does not go unnoticed!
- One key thing I enjoyed was the level of difficulty. The puzzles were logical (in a caveman way, of course) to complete without wanting to give up yet challenging enough to keep the game fun. Unlike many games I've played, I almost never spent time wandering through the game world thinking "ok, now what?". The game flows because of the story (albeit simple) and the fairly intuitive goals to complete the game.

I think this is the first time I've posted my comments without being able to point out areas for improvement.

Congrats to Tino and those who put in the efforts for this fun game.

Five JUMM JUMMS!

Thanks for that, Mark. Your render is quite different to the one I made for the game.
So, I'm looking forward to your *special edition* (the complete file pack with the original MIDIs and the In-game OGGs).

Thanks for sharing the link, selmiak.

m0ds

It is! Lite = not the actual files muhahaha!! ;) Love this translated page about Unga :D
