This post by Spummy seems mangled after server change.
i.e.: there was something written after the 'tl:dr' part (I am pretty sure, having had checked it a few minutes before the switch).
I can't even quote it, so I don't know what happened.

You are night. There is actually more to that post, but it's not displaying for some reason. I'll look into it!

Fitz

Links to the game database changed, too. As luck would have it, Gray got featured on Adventuregamers.com -- with the wrong link :\

AGA

We're not running ASP.NET anymore, so there's no way the addresses could have stayed the same. However, with a little help from my friend Peder Johnsen (i.e. him doing it all for me!) I've now made sure all uses of the old style addresses will link to the appropriate new games page address.  So:

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/Games.aspx/Detail/1627/Gray

becomes

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1627/

I have been referencing the page which was at http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/acplugin.htm. The current version of the page seems to be at http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/plugins/engine/, but the page just cuts off in the middle of a word. Viewing the source reveals that there is indeed a dangling block-quote and paragraph which are never closed because the content appears truncated.

I haven't noticed any other issues, but a significant portion of the plugin API reference is now missing.

Weird...I am able to access it through the first link.

Now, with his very own game: Alien Time Zone

Strange, indeed. It re-directs me properly when using Chrome and IE, but in FF -- which is my default browser -- still no luck. Possible history/cookie issue? How does FF work for you guys?

AGA

Works in Firefox for me.  All I can suggest is emptying your cache then!

For some reason the database just refuses to hold all the info used by the plugins page.  Shouldn't be a size limit thing, since I'm using a big enough field type.  Anyway, I've put the acplug.htm page back at http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/acplugin.html (which won't redirect) in the meantime.

Oh, by the way, does anyone remember exactly how the forums list should be arranged?  I think it'd in roughly the right place now, but it feels a bit off to me...  They all got mixed up when I updated us to the latest version of SMF yesterday.

Ali

I think Community should be second from the top. Apart from that it seems correct.

Ghost

Completed Games Announcement was at the very top top, followed by Games in Production- I actually liked it that way, but whatever goes, goes.

[edit]
Ah, already changed. Sorries!

Ali

Is it only me, or is the main URL redirecting to the wiki?

Hey guys,
Maybe you can help some of us not smart people who are trying to get onto the ags website. I can't seem to find anything clear on what changes where made yesterday. I am getting redirected to the wiki site when I type in the address I am used to using, from there I can't find links to the forum nor the regular site. www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk
Does Chris Jones hate me?!?!!

miguel

There was a gigantic sign explaining why and when, for at last a week (new host). But everything's normal now. Only the new thread layout takes some time to master...again.
Working on a RON game!!!!!

cat

No, actually he is right. www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk currently links to the wiki. But it is not Chris Jones' fault  ;)

miguel

All is working for me, I'm using FF.
The layout of things didn't get better at all, although it's always a matter of time to get used to the new thread locations.

I don't know what you mean *suspicious face*.

It's working properly again now.

Thanks!
I am glad there are no hard feelings between Chris and I.  I will resume emailing him weekly fan ballads.
