Unticking all of the checkboxes under one of the first four headings on the game search page and performing a search gives you an SQL error:

Couldn't connect to database: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND (committeeRating >= 2) AND (isCommercial = 0) AND (dl_url_broken = 0)' at line 1

Unticking all checkboxes under two headings will give you "AND AND (committeeRating...", three, "AND AND AND..." and four, "AND AND AND AND...".

Interesting!  I've already completely rewritten the search page, which will be released soonish.  Thanks for the report though.

in short: personal text, sig and all the other stuff that was saved earlier is to be seen correct when opening the site to modify your profile, just not the last saved avatar-link

a bit longer:As we already noticed for some time the forum doesn't like https format and we need to use http for avatars.
Mine had and has a http-adress but when saving a change in the profile (just the sig in my case) after the saving my avatar was gone.
It seems to me that opening the site is done without the link of the current avatar that you saved earlier and that way saving your changed sig (in my case)  I kicked out my avatar and changed to no avatar.
I needed to search for the old link to change it back and save it again but I thought it might be worth mentioning here because I haven't had such behavior some month ago.

Have a nice day

Not sure if intended, but youtube video embedding does not work if put in spoiler, e.g. compare:

I recall eri0o was saying that sometimes forums do not let him post, today I had same problem. For some reason I can post in some topics, but cannot in other, this for example: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=51340.msg636589906

The forum clock is behind again. There's about a three-minute difference.

So, this is amazing, but I found that it happens when I try to insert three dashes in the post, like this:
Quote
- - -
only without spaces. It reproduces 100% for me.

I get the message:
Quote

You don't have permission to access /forums/index.php on this server.

Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu) Server at www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk Port 80

Have I found some security issue?

Hey CW, you nailed , I was using the same three hyphens without spaces :)

Wow 8-0, how did you figure out that was the problem?

Hmm... I noticed that I cannot post in a very particular topic. Did many attempts over last day, pasting a prepared text. Then I got lazy and posted single word "test", and suddenly that worked. Tried to post original text, and that did not work. Here is where I thought that something is wrong with the text.
The rest was just trying different lines with "uncommon" symbols, until it triggered error.

I think the webserver configuration is probably not checking the content boundaries correctly in the posted data:
Quote- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -<BOUNDARYID>
Content-Disposition: form-data; name="message"

- - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -<BOUNDARYID>

The boundaries are probably getting shifted, if it is looking for two dashes to indicate the start of a boundary and then taking the remainder of the line as the boundary. So it is effectively setting the boundary to a single dash.

(ignore all the spaces, since I couldn't post this without them).

This is being caused by an Apache web server security mod, but I really couldn't work out what was triggering it.  Looks like you guys solved it though, thanks a lot!

Looks like the Google Maps API key has expired; the profile page map is showing "for development purposes only".

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this problem with the site, but I copy+paste text - from an actual text document or filename - it comes out incredibly tiny. If I insert it into a link, it refuses to be part of the link. Somehow [ size ] tags are getting in there, but I can't edit them, and I have no idea how to get rid of them or why they're coming across from eg. part of a link in Notepad, the browser address bar, etc.

normal reply works for me again, but other than that, quickreply is broken and I can't rate and/or comment in the game database. searching the database is broken too again. Also bring back the bugs+suggestions tracker plz.

I find that as of last week, the forum doesn't work in Chrome any more; I'm getting random access denied errors when trying to log in or respond to a message. It seems to work ok in an old version of IE, for some reason.

My chrome seems fine...

Sorry if this has been brought up already but the bbcode tables have lost their borders.

There will be a fair few minor graphical differences here and there, but unless it's actually causing a problem (or looks horrible!) it's probably not worth 'fixing'.
