Mudlarks

Work on Mudlarks is going along great since we began earlier this year. We now have an actual date set for it's release - March 31st 2014. We have had a great time making this game - and we are seeing it hopefully as a springboard for bigger and better things to come. In saying that, it is still a pretty big game, should be around 8 to 10 hours of gameplay. We have recently made the decision to release the game for free, meaning hopefully more people get a chance to play it! We are amateurs and this is our first full length game, so it didn't seem right to charge! Most of all we just hope people will enjoy playing it. It's a game made by old school adventure game fans, for old school adventure game fans.

For more recent updates and screenshots please have a look at our website at mudlarksgame.co.uk

Mudlarks is mysterious tale in the spirit of Jane Jensen and Broken Sword. Set in London, the story is one of friendship, secrets and the paranormal. It's not all doom and gloom though, and little comedic elements can be found throughout.

You and your friend James are experienced mudlarkers. That is, the practise of combing the shore of the River Thames for valuables and historical artifacts. One day, James stumbles upon a valuable golden locket - and your destiny is changed forever more. Two days after the find, James disappears on the shore, leaving only the locket behind...

What follows is an atmospheric dialog and puzzle driven adventure game, bringing in both science fiction and paranormal elements as you undertake your quest to find your friend and unravel many secrets along the way.

It is an ambitious project with 40+ screens and a host of animated characters.

It is a dark and mysterious tale in the spirit of Jane Jensen, set in London using embellished real world locations.
You better give it your best after such claims!  ;-D
I love the vertical interlacing.
Good luck.

Hehe, very bold claims I know. We are hoping to achieve something in the spirit of Jane Jensen, we know full well that the game will not come with in a million years of the greatness of her games. But we will do our best :) Thanks for your nice comment about the graphics too!
