I will probably get laughed at but Swedish music genius Max Martin's Backstreet Boys - Quit Playing Games With My Heart.
Great song, great lyrics.

Kinda cool they're sing/rapping in Chiac, but ugh watching that video makes my face want to cringe implode. (laugh)

I think that's the intention. ;)
It's all very tongue-in-cheek. But maybe this is an easier watch:

I don't know The Cars well, but my brother had this skateboarding video that had this chilled out segment with this song playing in the back, which I always really liked:

Nice. I always enjoyed the 80s-rific "Drive" (also due to strong band name/song title synergy):

Oh, and just to add to the 80s vibe:

That's my favourite Snarky! (laugh)

What an beautiful soul she seemed to be.

Interesting track, Galen. Don’t think I could listen to that upsetting story more than once, though!

I'm not sure I even understand being compared to a capybara as an insult. Capybaras are awesome!

jwalt

Interesting video along with this one:

Off topic, anyone tell me if the segment from 0:48 to 1:10 is from a movie, and if so, which one? May be just a part of the same footage taken, but seems to have some pretty cinematic elements.

Galen

Purely for the absolutely batty music video.

milkanannan

Jwalt, I'm getting 'video unavailable'.

Galen, very unique share. Not quite sure what that was. Sort of like Primus meets jungle meets death metal.

I might have shared this before, but we've been playing Hollow Knight again. The soundtrack is very nice:

The "Watch this video on YouTube" is a clickable link that starts a YouTube window and plays the video. At least, that's the way it works on my system. IF you're in an area that restricts YouTube, it might not work. Sorry. First time I've encountered it, myself.

I'm always up for some Talking Heads, and I found the Igorrr track pretty interesting (I think I liked the music more than the video).

I kept thinking about Kathy Barra, and finally realized what was niggling on my mind—this song about Catherine de Barra:

Haggis, I've got this on again mate. I get the feeling this track spawned a thousand failed marriages. (laugh) I'm not crazy about the vocals, but the hook is quite catchy.

Loving that John Moreland...

Recently I've been listening to this...

I like your tracks, Haggis. This one is really nice.

LimpingFish

Totally in love with this album for most of 2020:

Also, speaking of Talking Heads, one of my favourite (non-album) tracks recently went live on Spotify after being unavailable for donkey's years (in my neck of the woods anyway):

From long-forgotten Irish indie band National Prayer Breakfast:

And while it was covered by both Michael Jackson and Eric Clapton (among others), this is still the best version of this song:

an awesome performance with a very young Steve Morse (Deep purple) on guitar :D

This has been a solace and a refuge these weeks. I am very fond of it, but I must say that the English version is splendid, too.

Gustavus Adolphus Day is coming up on Friday, so I play it quite often this time of year nonetheless, but the hymn is particularly soothing this frightful and dreary year, particularly these bloodied last weeks. Do stay safe.

As an aside, it is always amusing to leaf through the examples in this thread - you never know what you will find!
