Baidu illustrated the map of Shanghai quite brilliant. This is cooler and more sim city than any maps app yet. This must have taken quite some time

That looks really amazing. That must have taken so much time to do!
You know what would be a cool project: having an online sprite editor that uses a huge map. That way everyone could edit in a portion of the big map. If enough people work on it it could be something great.

I like this a lot, but my favourite thing is that the glass skyscrapers have been textured with a photo texture that shows buildings reflected in them; buildings that don't exist in this city.
