The Lonely Botanist

I made a wide room :-\
I am too scared of wide rooms :-[
But I made one (laugh)

Cassiebsg

It looks so peaceful... embrace the wide rooms, they are your friends... (nod)

You think so?
I'm replacing the ship's background music with nature sounds like water and leaves..

Blondbraid

Wow, those rippling reflections look awesome! 8-)

However, the waterline looks weird at the bottom left edge of the pool, is anyone else seeing this?

Could you point where exactly?

I'm bad at explaining this, but I'll try.
At the bottom edge of the pool, the water rippels above the pool edge,
so the water looks like a mirror floating above the pool rather than liquid inside the pool,
the water and pool edge doesn't look completely aligned to me.

AnasAbdin

Okay I think I get you.
First of all let's get an understanding of the architecture, the pool's bottom is glass:

I think you mean the ripple here:

You are right about this being weirdly positioned, the script takes an oval shape and reflects it, so I can play around with the phase and reflect point.

Am I understanding you correctly or did you mean something else?

Tycho Magnetic Anomaly

I got a chance to read through this whole thread. This project is truly stunning, I just love how you use mixed media 3d/2d , and the attention to detailing with effects is mind blowing.

I simply cant wait to see this complete, and I really think it will do well.

Kudos!

AnasAbdin

Thanks Tycho for the kind words :)
The 3d/2d was a challenge and I hope it worked as anticipated (nod)
I don't use this method with nature and forests though ;)

Yes exactly, I thought that was weird.

Hobo

I didn't really notice it before it was metioned, but yes, it might look like the edge of the pool is flowing a bit, the colors blend together.
But otherwise, it looks simply stunning. You have mastered the art of water reflections.

SilverSpook

Looks awesome man! I need to get some cool liquid reflections for my game. :D

AnasAbdin

Blondbraid: I tried to implement your notes and I hope it looks better now :-[ your sharp eye is very appreciated (laugh)

Thanks Hobo & SilverSpook :-*

AnasAbdin

Remember this old background?

Remember when I replaced it with the newer version?

Well that room had a computer and I had to change it too :P

Cassiebsg

Looks great. (nod)
But you scared the hell out of me, thought you had improved the BG again, and I was wondering how on earth you could have improved on perfection already. (laugh)
