!!!!

Daahh! Trying not to gush over here.

I'd like to thank the academy. I'd like to thank the fans. I'd like to thank my fellow competitors.

Seriously, though, I really have no one to brag to about this, but being on this forum for less than two weeks and already getting a trophy to put in my signature... Man, I really got those warm and fuzzies all up in my tummy.

Really happy to be here, really happy to be making my very first adventure game, and really looking forward to sharing conversation/banter with all you beautiful people.

I have no idea how to go about posting the next theme, but if someone could give me an idiot-proof rundown, hopefully I don't mess it up too too bad.

Thanks again!!

Congrats, TheTelephone!

Let's see if I can manage an idiot-proof rundown ;)

  • Decide on a theme for the next round. (click through this list to see all the topics of the last few years.) We usually have a halloween themed round in October but it's still the beginning of the month, so if you don't want to, there's probably still enough time for this in the round after yours.
  • Look at a calender to see when the deadline should be (about two weeks from now: 14th October).
  • Start a new topic in the competitions and activities board.
  • Put "Fortnightly Writing Competition" or something similar, your theme and the deadline in the subject line.
  • Write a nice text that tells everyone what the next round is about. Add pictures or quotes if you want to, tell us if there is, just as some examples, a word limit or minimum, or if you want us to write only in dialog, or poetry, or whatever.
  • Post thread.
  • Draw trophies.

Was that idiot-proof? If not, just ask again. :)
