Haha, it was a pure guess. Didn't know I would be right. :-D

I'll pass my turn to anyone who is willing to take it.

Yay! Best....answer....EVAAAAA!!!

Okay I will take the next one. It's not AGS related:

It sounds like you did not join the Canadian police. And Mara did not join a race, after what sounds like a Roman threesome with one lying on top of two standing (5,6)

(Maybe we should start to explain all stages of the solution when posting answers. This is kinda becoming a bit of a guess-fest and it's much more satisfying for the puzzle-maker and the puzzle-solver to figure the whole thing out....or not...)

Stupot

Spoiler

Monty Python

Monty sounds a bit like Mountie, which is the nickname for the Canadian mounted police.
Mara(thon). A kind if race.
And that comes after py, or pi (which as you described looks like this Ïâ,¬), although pi is Greek not Roman if I'm not mistaken.

YUP!!! You got it! Good explaining the solution too....

A few things though: "you did not join the Canadian police" meant to subtract the "u" from "Mountie" which becomes "Montie" and sounds like "Monty". The other thing was: It doesn't matter that "Pi" is not Roman. I used "Roman" only for Roman Numerals so you could get the symbol for Pi from putting a Roman Numeral 1 horizontal over the numeral for 2 and thus making the symbol for Pi...

VERY well figured out though!

Someone hit us up with a new one please!

Ahh, okay I see what you mean by the Roman thing now. Nice one.

How about this (AGS related):

A break without tea? That's backwards, no? Only Adam's band will help you complete this clue. (9)

Baron

Spoiler
A break (tea time) without tea = time
That's backwards, no? = on
Only Adam's band (ie humanity) will help you complete this clue = man

Thus: timeonman

I can't help but think I'm missing something.... :P

Stupot

Hehe. Well, you've got the middle part right. Well done. :-)
The last bit may be a bit Anglo-centric, but I'm adamant not to give any more clues.

A break without tea?
Spoiler
Scandalous!!! Preposterous!  Just plain wrong!  Struggling to fit any of those in though... :P
Or... a word for "Break" that has a T in it, but without the tea... um, without the T?
Normally you'd have "tea and biscuits" maybe... so something to do with biscuits?  A shortened form?
Added to the middle "on"... "Bison"??

Adam's band...
Spoiler
A synonym of Adamant maybe? Firm, rigid... hmm...

Stupot

Way off, Cap'n. But you were right to pick up on 'adamant' being a hint :-D
Let's get some more guesses, then I'll give another hint or two.

CaptainD

I've heard of
Spoiler
Adam and the Adamants

but I'm a little too young to really know much about them!

Gurok

Bit of fudgery and some guessing:
Spoiler
A break without tea? Cont. -> Con
That's backwards, no? That's -> STaht
Only Adam's band will help you complete this clue. -> Ants
Constants?

I think you do too, and absolutely bril reasoning there!

I got stuck on thinking "A break without tea" meant "Fracture" without the "t"...Tunnel-vision will really kill you on these things!

Well done, Cap'n. I knew you had it in you :-)

Indeed,
Break without tea = res(t)
backwards no = on
Adam's band = Adam and the Ants
Res+on+ants = Resonance

What?!?  No new challenge!?  Unless I get my nightly brain yoga, I'll be in danger of getting a fat head. :P

So I'm jumping in with this unsolicited and mostly spellchecked clue:

Studiously hugging Charles X X X (7)

Not the solution, but just a thought:

Spoiler
Perhaps "studiously" means "A+" which means add an "A" at the start of the word?
[close]

Apart from that I got nothing yet...Damn it, brain! Do something!

I am sorry to report that you're on the wrong track, clever though that track is. ;)

Spoiler
"Studiously" is an adverb describing how Charles is hugged :)

AnasAbdin

Spoiler
'Charles' could mean prince... ??? Not sure about 'X X X' being 30.. and 'Studiously hugging' may be squeezing the answer..

Moar clues please! 8-0
