Dadalus

ok my last clue (off to bed now)

Spoiler
the first word could be thought of as two 4 letter words stuck together

This has been a 'Mouse fetishist' approved message.

Stupot

Ahh, I'm good at 4-letter words. Is it:
Spoiler

Fuckwank End?

CaptainD

Not alpha =
Spoiler
Omega
[close]
?

Dadalus

Stupot+

Spoiler
No :)
[close]

CaptainD

Spoiler
see my earlier reply to Mandle, you and he were on the right track with Omega. He has now figured out that the second word is END.
[close]

Further hints
Spoiler

The first word is **** (a club) & **** (think of a dog and soil).

[close]

The answer is probably too obscure so I will give a larger clue in a few hours if no one gets it.

AnasAbdin

Spoiler
Woodbury End?

Catalog:
"MY DOG SOILED A CLUB BUT HES NOT THE ALPHA"

SOILED A CLUB = bury a stick of wood
NOT THE ALPHA = The end!

Correct and what a frustrating game it was in my teen years, and I've only gone downhill since then :)

Your reasoning was correct though I was thinking

Spoiler
club=WOOD (golf) , and a dog that soiled it (BURY). Though your way works.

EDIT: and of course 'I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end' so 'not the Alpha' gives you Omega or 'End'.

Yay! :-D
You'll make me visit the garage and look for the oldies this weekend :-D

Mordack after an endless felony's heir (7,6)

Stupot

#547
Haha. I wonder...
Spoiler

CRIMSON WIZARD

Mordack is the wizard from King's Quest. And that comes after:
Crim, being crime without the last e
Son, the oldest if which is traditionally the heir to whatever is going.

Here's one:

I'm assuming this is

Spoiler
Henman Origins, but that would be (6,7)?

Well done Stupot+ :)

Wyz

I'm sure Dadalus is right so here's another one:

Apple wizard wired from behind to the earth. (10,5)

:-D
Life is like an adventure without the pixel hunts.

Baron

I dunno... (roll)

Spoiler
Apple wizard makes me think of Isaac Newton, or William Tell, or Steve Jobs, or Steve Wozniak, or that weird wire-framed rolly-majiggy from the shopping channel that harvests ground-fall fruit. (roll)  So yeah, no progress here.
[close]

Spoiler
Wired from behind makes me think of "plugged in", but I can't come up with a synonym that makes any sense.
[close]

Spoiler
Since "earth" is not capitalized, this makes me think of lying or dropping or falling, or maybe gardening.... I don't know.   :undecided:
[close]

Spoiler
Based on my confusion above and a wild stab at the word-count, I conclude that the clue refers to razzmatazz droop :=

This is the best band name ever. Official!

Dadalus

Just a few thoughts, no guess.

Spoiler
'apple wizard wired from behind' made me think that you remove wired from 'applewizard'. Which got me as far as 'applza', at which point my brain short circuited and I died.

I may have another attempt in my next life (unless I come back as a frog).

Wyz

Sorry but none of the above is correct; time for a few pointers. :)

Spoiler
The first two clue words refer to the second word of the solution.
[close]

Spoiler
The first word would have been capitalized even if it wasn't the first word of the clue.
[close]

Spoiler
Baron is right about plugged but rather find a synonym for 'wired to earth'.
[close]

ok I think i have it

Spoiler
Background as BACK(from behind) and GROUND(wired to the earth). Then I stumbled around with Apple wizard for a bit, and then it hit me. iMage would be an Apple wizard if they made one.

So BACKGROUND IMAGE.

EDIT: My brain has just short circuited again, ribbit .:)

On the assumption that I am right :

THIS GAME IS FAULTY, IT MUST BE ON DRUGS (5,5)

Oh my God...IT MUST BE:

Spoiler
SPEED BUGGY

BUGGY as in a faulty game and SPEED as in the drug. Not sure how the order got switched but the game is just that awesome that a reversal of time itself is possible!!!
[close]

Dadalus

Correct, as for the order I figured that

Spoiler

BUGGY was the noun
SPEED was the adjective
