Darn, I was pretty close if that's the rule.. I guess oint is a word, just not one defined by dictionary.com

Except "oint" is not a word so "points" doesn't make sense.

Also "hin" is a noun but that might have just been overlooked for the word "thing": an ancient Hebrew unit of liquid measure equal to about one and one half gallons (5.7 liters).

Klatuu is correct and oint is a word according to http://www.thefreedictionary.com/oint
and I guess I did miss hin. oops.
