Hello my dear friends,

I often started to think about the new topic, but always something came shoving in between.
Wherever I was, I saw advertising on posters, in shop windows or tv, even in the news it was worth a message.
If an issue is so intense represented, who I am to ignore it?

So let's give it a go with

and hope that some of you like the theme, too.

I want you to come up with a sprite that somehow is related to or about Star Wars.
It might be a known character (or more) from the movies, a robot (or more)
or even someone (that we do not know - jet), who for example wants to apply for a role in the next movie
or a disguised fan (or more), ...

It's all up to you and your imagination.

Rules

Resolution, style and color depth of the sprite is not specified.
AGS-compatibility is preferred (just imagine that someone wants your brilliant sprite for his new game)
Backgrounds and animation are optional.

The competition will end on 02. Jan. 2016 at midnight (forum-time).

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Also the trophies are already prepared and programmed for you:

May the hype be with you...always...

I'm going to be seeing the new movie tomorrow with a group of about 20 people all in costume. I'm going as Obi-Wan, which is why I've been growing a white beard for the last month...Oh, alright...grumble...it's why I've been growing a beard (as one of my students so "kindly" corrected my wording).

People can check out the Star Wars Sprite Jam from back in May HERE if they wish, either for inspiration or if they are worried about unintentional repetition. (If you scroll down that page there is a collection of all entries)

I couldn't really enter the last one as I was hosting it, and I never did get around to making trophies (sorry) and Tabata's trophies are so cute, so I might give this one a bash if the movie provides inspiration...(No spoilers though of course)

There's no such thing as too much Star Wars!!!

So sorry, I should have controlled the themes from earlier Sprite Jams.
How about expanding the theme for all those of you who prefer to do a different sprite?

Let's say it officially:
I will also allow (and like to see) sprites that are related to

Star Trek

You can choose it - including the option to use both

btw. no need to do another one, Grok but of course you are very welcome to add a sprite for ST, too.

Just got back from seeing the new Star Wars and:

Yeah...lol I came home and did a youtube binge of all my favourite critics' spoiler vids that I've been cringing away from since Friday...Great feeling isn't it?

Fun Fact: I watched the holiday special way back in '78 when I was a kid. Even as a Star Wars loving little boy, I was profoundly disappointed. It may have been the first time in my young life that I'd ever experienced what a lousy, crappy placed the world can be sometimes.

I did my best to capture a bewildered Diahann Carroll in a clingy pink dress and a mop on her head doing her best to bring some sex appeal to a poor, toothless old wookiee getting off on VR smut while his grandson plays with his toys just a few feet away. I remember that bit: Such an...ahem..."interesting" direction for a special aimed at kids to take. I guess they thought they were throwing in something for the Dads? Or....hmmmm....it was the '70's: did Mel Brooks co-write perhaps under a pen-name?
