My name is Carlos Peña and with my brother Jose Maria have started a project to create a video game type adventure, retro style. We were diehard fan of adventure games of the 80s and early 90s, the golden age. And always we wanted to do one. And that desire can now become reality. Our intention for the financing of the project of creation of the video game '99 Species' would be to launch a campaign of crowdfunding in the kickstarter platform.

The subject of the game:

“We're living in the year 2099, in the worst possible dystopia. Mankind is living in agony on a dying planet. Capitalism and neo-liberalism rules the world, replacing the old democracies. The levels of pollution and poverty are extreme. Corporations are doing what they want. And I, Luis Miranda, am just trying to survive another day in this hell which someone has called incorrectly: ‘Life'.”

Mandle

Looking very nice! I love the top-down view! VERY 80's!

Best of luck with the project guys!

Woppercyb

Thank you very much Mandle!!!

We would try to do more than a game, an experience to traverse the great games of 80, with a nod to Space Quest, Monkey Island ...

We just need a little support! ;-)

I tried the demo. I think this is an awesome project :-D
there's a feel in the atmosphere of the game that makes it special. I can't put my finger on it but as much as I know, I love it 8-)

Gribbler

It looks very much like Dreamweb. Good luck with the production and crowdfundung guys!

Woppercyb

Indeed, this project remindes me a lot of Dreamweb, a game I loved as a kid (despite not being for kids at all, heh). ;)
Gotta try the demo later, as I already like that futuristic and dark art style and design. Best of luck with the development!
