Off to bed in about 10 minutes, and then we go back the normal turnaround time for rounds...

Been a rush though to do a bunch of rounds in real time...

For 10 minutes though... we still can...

Was he recovered from a mass grave?
Is the body medieval?

Case #20 - A man is killed. After his body is found it is kept at his workplace permanently. What's going on?

YES
By body did you mean his body is still intact?
Are other bodies also stored in his workplace?
Is his workplace a building (and not something like "the whole world")?
Does this case take place in modern times?
Is the man human?
Is the body put on long-term display?
Sorry, I'm confused... is this a yes or a no: Does this case take place in modern times?
Does he die before modern times and is found and put on display in modern times?
Was he found buried?
Is the place he's kept some kind of museum?
Is his body an exhibit?
Was the building a museum when he worked there?
Was he killed by a person?
Is the body decayed to the point where no preservation is necessary (e.g. a skeleton)?
Is the body a skeleton?
Are the remains more than 500 years old?
Is it pure happenstance that he's exhibited in the museum where he used to work?
Is the place primarily a museum (i.e. it is not a secondary function)?
Was he killed in a war?
Was he recovered from a mass grave?

NO
Was he a construction worker?
Is his body buried?
Is cement involved in the case?
Did he work in the medical field?
Did he work in a university?
Was he a mummy?
Did he work in a cemetery?
Did he die in his workplace?
Is his body trapped in a wall?
Did he work on a pyramid?
Was he cremated?
Was taxidermy involved?
Would his body be stored there whether or not he was killed (in whatever way he is killed)?
Is his workplace a church?
Does this case take place in modern times?
Was he buried at sea?
Is "his body" an oblique reference to a body of work?
Was he killed because of his job (or for not doing his job)?
Are (most of) the other bodies stored with him also people who worked there?
Sorry, I'm confused... is this a yes or a no: Does this case take place in modern times?
Has this person been put in cryogenic stance?
Did he worked at a wax museum?
Is his body preserved so as not to decay?
Is his individual identity known after his body is found?
Was his body preserved in ice?
Did he live in Italy?
Is it a religious building?
Or is the building some kind of dynastic/family building (e.g. a palace or mansion)?
Was the man killed by an erupting volcano?
Was the killing a crime?
Was he executed?
Is the body medieval?

G'night all... looking forward to further questions when I wake up...

dayowlron

wow, let me summarize. A museum employee (a human man) who worked at a museum that is over 500 years old is killed in a war, buried in a mass grave, and recovered from the mass grave and put on display in that same museum.
not sure i know of anyone that worked in a museum over 500 years ago and can't think of very many museums that have been around for over 500 years.

was the man a historical figure?
was the man famous in any way?

Is the museum built over the remains of a different type of building from the time during which the man died?

Snarky

For a while I thought you might be after one of the Swiss guards who died defending the Tuileries Palace (a now-destroyed wing of the Louvre) during the French Revolution, but I don't know that any of their skeletons are interred (much less on exhibit) there, and anyway it doesn't fit with a number of other clues.

I'm not quite sure what we're supposed to puzzle out at this point. Are you looking for a specific museum? A specific war? His specific job? A particular reason why his skeleton is on display? I don't see how it can be a true story, because if he hasn't been identified there's no way to know that the skeleton once worked in the museum, is there?

The same thing we puzzle out every time, Snarky!

HOW TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

What the reasons are behind what seems a rather strange situation...

(Richard III is buried in Leicester Cathedral, not on display in a history museum.)

Is the museum located in Europe?
Do dead bodies make up a large proportion (say a majority) of the museum's exhibits?
Are the remains more than 1000 years old?

D'oh yes of course...

Ok let's try to tie down the age of the corpse a bit more.

Are the remains more than 750 years old?
Are the remains more than 1,250 years old?
Are the remains more than 1,500 years old?

Yes okay point taken, I hadn't been paying enough attention!  :P  I got all enthusiastic about what I thought was a burst of inspiration, but sadly it was just a burst...   :(
