And, it's a YES and NO listing, but the main reason for this is that it probably wasn't his immediate concern, but eventually would have become a concern...

No, it's one of those two (and you know it wasn't poison ;) ). The reason it was YES and NO was because avoiding it wasn't the issue immediately, but would have been a huge factor over time.
