I haven't seen it and didn't know it had a remake even, but I'm getting distinct Fawlty Towers vibes.  Then I saw your hint so I'm 100% sure.

The house is the Cook Mansion, in Piru, California.
It's appeared in lots of films and TV shows...

That explains why I recognize it. I probably saw it in The X-Files.

Since that is John Laraquette (spelling?) I say it is Payne. Which was a remake of Fawlty Towers.

Yup! Snarky originally saying no when I said Frasier lead me to dark places which included the payne of watching Payne.

That last screen is the remake of the duck and car breaking down. The reveal is awful

It was more from research than from watching it.

Mr. Merlin?

On a side note, no wonder I never saw Payne then. I doubt they would have run it on Australian TV. Fawlty Towers is one of the most beloved shows in Australia to this day. Along with M*A*S*H and Seinfeld it's often rerun over and over. If Aussies saw a bad remake there would probably be riots in the streets. (laugh)

Angel, last season?

I knew this one would be easy.
But who was the better character - Illyria, or Fred?
I was really sad to see Fred die   but then I loved Illyria, who was completely different from Fred.

Your turn.

Been too long since I watched Angel to have an opinion on Fred vs Illyria. Once Upon a Time is the last thing I saw Amy Acker in...

This is vaguely related to Angel. At least that some episodes featured an actress who was in an episode of Angel...

You don't recognize Jeffrey Combs? That's a shame. He's been in so much scifi...
But yes, 4400 is correct.
