Hello and first of all thanks for reading this message.

I just started a project in AGS, and I already have a question that I would like to solve.

Is it possible with AGS to publish a video game on Steam in a more or less easy way? I have seen that there are some games published on Steam developed with AGS, but I don't know if they have been published thanks to an own plugin or if there is an official third-party plugin to carry out the process.

Thank you very much for everything and greetings.

Happy Holidays.

Here's the Steam plugin thread: https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=44712.0
This allows you to call Steam functions from your game (like getting achievements).

As for the process of publishing the game on steam, I don't think an AGS engine plugin can facilitate that. My guess is you basically get a Steam dev account, then upload the game files.

Thank you very much, Khris.

Your answer is very useful.

I thought that to export to Steam some kind of plugin or similar was needed, and could facilitate all the work of publication to the platform.. At least in some video game publishers it was done like this to upload to the Windows Store / Android etc.

Thank you for your help and happy holidays.

There's no export to Steam.

You log on Steam here: https://partner.steamgames.com/

Docs are here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/home

There's a nda thing you need to sign and every page has kinda of a notice that I don't what is possible to say or not, but if you sign the things you can access a community on Steam itself to get questions on the platform answered.
