I have just given June the magazine, and gotten her to check the copier.  Now she says it needs some kind of spark plug...I've wandered around in search of supplies or someone to ask, but to no avail.  Help please!

so you've already obviously looked more closely at the "Busty Ladies" magazine, and got the copy of Caravan from inside of it.  So now go to the supply closet where Geoff is reading "Hi" magazine, and swap with him.  (If you try to give him "Busty Ladies" like I did just for fun, he is AGHAST that you'd offer it to him, lol.)  The magazine Geoff gives you is the one to give to June.

  I'm stuck trying to figure out how to get an ice pop for the bum.  I have the change, but I don't have a way to bribe or blackmail the shop owner to sell it to me.  I thought maybe I could threaten to expose him for his un-fresh sandwiches, or maybe the "Saving Ryan's Privates" DVD, but I guess not.  Help please!

It looks like you have to keep reading irrelevant notices till you hit the one you need. I don't know if they are randomly generated but I will say 100% that there's no way I would have kept scrolling through them till something meaningful would pop up

Anyway, it seems like I'm spending more time on the hints forum than playing, and that's just for the first 2 puzzles. I liked the first game so I'm hoping things pick up from here. Thanks for the help, guys!

I don‘t have a savegame for this anymore, but this is what I remember:

Did you look at the ladder in the shop to the left ?
And in the supermarket: Take a close look at the sandwiches,
their date of expiry has been exceeded, talk to the owner about it
It only works if you know what book the man outside is reading, I think

Thanks for the feedback on the puzzles, it’s all food for thought! I hadn’t considered that plugs tend not to have fuses outside of the UK.


Please find below how to get the coveted ice pop!

Go into the charity shop and speak to the lady. Look at the ladder and speak to her again. Try to give her the Agatha Christie book. Go to the reclining gentleman and speak to him. Go and look at the drain outside the Spar shop. Go back and get the magnet from the fridge outside the cafe. Affix the magnet to the baton, use the new device to get the coins from the drain, go into the shop and click on the ice cream freezer. After you’ve been refused service, go and look at (or interact with) the sandwiches. Now go and click on the ice cream freezer again.

you need to Know the door is locked and know there’s something in there worth seeing. So, try the door, speak to the cavalier afterwards.
Then you need to try to get in. You can’t do it on your own and Geoff seems reluctant to help you. He might be persuaded to help if there’s something he wants on the other side of the door

I got the matches. It has an address. There doesn't seem to be any way to progress from here. The logical thing to do would be to go to the address but I can't really go anywhere, enter the betting shop to get Geoff back into the car or do anything else. What's next?

Talk to cavalier (he refuses to tell you what’s in there but now you’re sufficiently interested to try to force entry)
Interact door again (you kick it but don’t get in)
Then drop the cigarettes through the hole.

after investigating the crime scene at the working men's club. I've given all the evidence to Gary the SOCO guy, and checked out the mannequin leg in the rubbish (can't seem to do anything more with it, other than being mocked by Gary). I can't seem to do anything else. Can't go to the back of the building again, can't talk to either my partner or the lady cop, can't use anything on anything as far as I can tell and can't leave the scene. What do! Hjölp!

You can found one in the bathroom/cubicle and then look at that magazine in inventory

I'm stuck with 50 points outside the crime scene where I'm talking to SOCO chief Gary Lukic.

I've given him two pieces of evidence: the matchbook and the blood sample. After that, I still can't leave the scene because "there is work to be done", so I suppose there must be something I'm missing in this location. I hope I haven't reached a dead end.

No, I don't have that item. I hope it's located somewhere in the same location, as I cannot go anywhere else. I'll do some more pixelhunting, then.

I've gone back and checked and it turns out you CAN leave the shopping parade without the scrap of material. Sorry. You shouldn't be able to do that. I can't believe this is the first time it's come up! I'll amend it and re-upload a fixed version. Thanks for letting me know.

I think perhaps what caused me to discover the error in the first place, was that the character moves to an object and effectively stands in front of it afterwards, blocking it from view.This is about the only nitpick I have in an otherwise excellent game.

You need to collect the denim sample and the blood sample from the next screen (on the right.) to collect the blood sample, look at it, than talk to the shirtless gentleman to get a cotton swab.
