"AGSville"

Imagine there's a town in rural Italy, surrounded by soft hills, where people know (and love) each other.
Every day, they meet at the impressive ancient Roman fountain, and eat freshly baked bread from the stone oven, dunking it into a blue cup with minestrone soup. This enchanting place is named AGSvillaggio or Jonestown.

There are apparently beautiful 1-EUR-homes in crumbling rural areas. The ideal spot for likeminded people of a community to get an own home here.

Sometimes I wonder if such a community place, as hypothetically the thought is, would be a shared vision of others too.

So do we have to find the flour, the water and the yeast before we can eat freshly baked bread from the stone oven... or do we need stone to build it in the first place?  :-D

In all seriousness, I'm totally in. := When do we move in?

Exactly. And the walls of AGSville forever echoing with these words : "Hey, where's my screwdriver?" "Did someone see my oil tank?"

"Oh no, someone put the hamster in the microwave again!" (laugh)

I would never know when NOT to pick something up. This rusty old door handle? Might come in handy. A mouldy piece of cheese I found behind the refrigerator? Better take it with me. (laugh)

Damn it! I read the first post and then skimmed the replies hoping no one had made this joke yet!  :P

Khris

Did you just edit "CLOSED" into the first post...?

Anyway, while this sounds awesome, the houses are usually in pretty bad condition; you'd probably have to invest tens of thousands of euros first (and lots of time!) in order to make them livable again.

Luckily, this can be done with imaginary money, of which I imagine we have plenty.

Khris keeps it real. (Cue soulful fist bump, closed eyes)

Matti

Imagine how we would check all the loose bricks in those walls for hidden keys or a secret passage.

- CLOSED - it because unrealistic, true. Maybe an AGShotel is a more viable way. Still thanks to everyone responding.
