Hello friends! My first AGS game was completed on October 6,2020!

It's a game made with the concept of a cricket movie with insects.

I hope you enjoy this game!

*STORY*
The main character Jonathan opens his eyes on the bus one day.
The collapsed Tower Bridge had only broken things left.
Under attack by strange bugs, Jonathan must join forces with the rest of the bus passengers to escape from the Tower Bridge.

Congrats on the release! It looks very interesting!

Very powerful game! Great horror adaptation. I can see the Lovecraft influence in there. Great graphics and well-designed puzzles.

Many hotspots seemed to not be marked properly and I think the drone animation was supposed to be a drone rather than Jonathan?

To be honest, I have NO idea what happened in the story. Is the player expected to have read some background or something?

I tested the game pre-release and had the same issue happening on maybe one out of three playthroughs. I haven't been able to find the trigger for the view change, though.

Thank you for enjoying the game! it was the first project of Ags, many things were immature. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The part of the story represents a supernatural phenomenon of fear or events that have been hurt by duality. I didn't have enough explanation.

Including these, I will improve the bug or glitch hotspot and improve it well in the next project. Thank you so much for playing!

Really awesome first game! Aside from some polish like having hotspots and responses, it is an outstanding piece of work. I am not sure what you meant by 'hurt by duality' but I didn't get what was happening, shifting back and forth from different worlds or scenes and then the end was just a big "huh?"

Congratulations on the release!
I played an earlier version and it was already very promising. Can't wait to see the full game! :cheesy:

I'm in the middle of this. I absolutely love this kind of game or movie. The graphics, particularly the monsters, are very atmospheric and well done.

My gripes are the same as the others have remarked on. The unmarked hotspots makes the game a bit cumbersome to play, especially when it comes to exits. I was actually stuck for 30 minutes before I discovered that there was a location on the other side of the bus, too. Even though I've managed to solve the puzzles so far in the game, some descriptions of the inventory items would have been another improvement. And I got the drone bug, too. Have anyone got the correct graphic display when flying the drone?

Despite this, I'm playing on. Which means that I'm enjoying myself and the game. I like the unconventional storytelling with segments out of order and the voices in different colours. The red voice is appropriately marked for me, but perhaps it could even have a different font (for the colour blind)? The game was also longer than I had expected - when I thought it was about to end, it jumped to another segment of the story. While unpolished, there is a lot of fun to be had here, at least for horror fans. I'll vote as soon as I've completed it.

And I finished it. The ending was a bit confusing, but brilliantly drawn. The end credits lists a lot of music. While there was some music during the ending, most of the
game was silent.

Thank you for the game! I enjoyed it. Now off to vote and rate.

This is a pretty large game... And certainly for a first game it is entirely awesome  (nod)

Just finished your game! It was  much longer then i'd anticipated, but never the less i played it thru in a hour or something like that!
So my thoughts on what could be improved. Hotspots interactions, forexample my first attempt with the knife on the spiderweb, he doesn't even say anything. I think it's easier for the player if some stuff that "should" work has a comment about it not working out, or a excuse forexample like i did in my first game (i also just released my first little game). "i can't throw a rope, i'm no indiana jones". Comment could be something like "i guess i could, but i'm too afraid to go thru there, right now".

The ladder had this strange comment, about how he would like to go down there, but then you try to go there, and he refused too. ??? Maybe change that comment, it was very confusing.  (laugh)

It happened at other places too. Cutting a curtain should have worked, it didn't. Trying to stab the other members of the cast, no comments either. I mean if it's a "horror theme" i think the player might try that several times, perhaps "threaten" the other cast with the knife? "I do not want to threaten the poor schoolgirl" could be one comment, etc. Sometimes i solve a puzzle and i don't even know why it worked.   (laugh)

Spoiler

I was stuck for a little bit until i realised in the foreground, you could pick something up. I would stay away from such puzzles, cause very rarely in point & clicks the objects foreground is of any use, mostly they are just there to create sense of space. So i was stuck for a while on that simple fact. Once i realised it was clickable, i've got further in the game! The Cola on the water did nothing on my screen, and then the Cola was gone in my inventory and i was like ok, perhaps it made the creature in the aquarium want cola now..Then i understood once the puzzle was done, it wasn't that creature that was going to get the cola, haha!! So it was very confusing, i tried lots of things on the aquariumcreature like the hammer to get the attention of the creature. Turns out it was the wrong creature.

But all in all, it was a great first game! I got these "Resident evil 2 goes point & click" vibes from it.  (laugh) (nod)! Btw i also got Jonathan as a "drone", i thought that was just cause the creator of the game was lazy with the animation. But if it was supposed to be a drone it sadly did not work. Played the game and downloaded the game today. You can replace the mediafire link with a new build, once you realise how to fix the issue. I did that with my game a lot, since i realised it had many game breaking bugs. But 9verbs is a whole lot of things to keep track off, so i started of "really hard" on myself. Anyways enough about me. Keep it up, i'll gladly play your upcoming games, great start!

I finished it too. Great game :)

In the final puzzle, I originally expected it to be the corresponding numbers to FALL, in some other number scale ;)

Thank you all for your replies!  :)

In fact, there are so many imperfections.  Uncertain hotspots and inconsistent object descriptions, lack of screenplay, etc.
Actually, I've been working on this project for too long.    There was a point where I decided I should stop here, but on the contrary, I think I was in a hurry.
it's a very unfortunate decision, but I think it would be better to reflect all these shortcomings in the next project and show them in a much better form.

And I'm going to make the same Universe game as FALL later.

At that time, I will fill in the insufficient explanation. :-D

Pogwizd

I've just stopped playing the game, as I got stuck. I must point out though that the amount of work you put into this game is truly amazing! I really enjoyed the art and atmosphere (the first cut-scene with the giant spider coming down from the web on the bridge gave me a bit of goose bumps) :)

But as others have already mentioned the game has some imperfections that might make the gameplay cumbersome. Missing labels, inconsistent spelling, too short action label (when I hovered over the remote control it said "remote control (no batt'") and so on.

Also, the animations are really great! I think the game would look even better, though, if reverse animations were added. What I mean is when Jonathan bends down to pick sth up, there is no animation showing him straightening back again. He just jumps back to the default position. Just a thought :)

But to sum up, a really nice game. Looking forward to seeing more stuff from you :)

As for getting stuck...
Spoiler

I'm in the lab. I have a soda can, a hammer, a fretsaw and a drill. I used the ladder (quite a big ladder to carry around in your pockets ;)) to open (?) the fusebox. Any ideas what I should be doing next?

Great game!
Congrats on the release!

Pogwizd, I started a thread in the Hints and Tips section and answered you there. I think this game has enough downloads to warrant a hint thread.
