I got through as many games as I possibly could in my spare time, well done to all the participants and good luck with the awards.

Nominations are over!

Thanks to everyone who participated in voting. We need a bit of time to prepare the results, but I will post them here later today or at least within the next few days.

Also many thanks to everyone who nominated! I was keeping my fingers crossed for some of the art categories, but definitely didn't expect this many 8-0. "Best programming", heh, glad nobody saw the actual code ;).

All my picks ended up on the list as well, unfortunately didn't manage to play all of the nominees - have to fix that now.

 ???  :-D  :=

Relic of the Viking wasn't nominated in the categories where I thought it would make sense to be nominated, but did get nominated in categories that I did not imagine (it's not even really a demo, it's a medium-length game  ;-D )
But yeah why not!    (laugh)

If someone was disappointed that their game didn't get nominated, here was my own votes. Maybe it will warm up some hearts?

I decided to pimp up my game with some solid voice acting. I've now got about half the AGS community on board!

Who would have thought over 6 years later this insane executive decision would have paid off!

Thanks to half the AGS community who voted! That's awesome!

While it's no surprise that SLEUTH wins the voice category, I had at least hoped that Detective Boiled-Hard would get a nomination. It's kind of the opposite of SLEUTH's solution, with one guy doing all the voices. And it's hilarious.  (laugh)

"Best programming", heh, glad nobody saw the actual code ;)

I nominated you for that because I saw a few interesting things, like the zoom out, or the shading of the character fading nicely when he goes up and down the elevator (it might just be a semi-transparent black overlay, but nevermind, the illusion worked).

Thanks! Glad people notice things like that. The elevator shading was just a bunch of regions with progressively lighter light levels, but yeah, come to think of it, the camera effects were a bit of a pain :).

Congrats to all the nominees! I'll definitely have to check out some of the titles I missed.

This reminds me...
p.s. If my game gets nominated for an award (I don't even have to win! I'm incredibly easy to please!) I'll make an "AGS Awards" version with even more puzzles and jokes.
And you got three nominations! ;)

Wow! I’m very shocked! Thank you so much for the nominations!

How do you vote? (I’m currently firing through the nominees so I can make informed decisions).

Also, can you vote for yourself like a politician or is that seen as poor form? :)
