The story is about Ash. An ordinary girl who takes a journey through a mysterious spirit world filled with strange spirits. Ash must find her way back home, before something else finds her. The game is a canon prequel to one of my previous games 'My Big Sister' which will tell the story of the events that led to the red witch.

It is in AGS? Looks so RPG-Maker...

You haven't played previous Stranga games, I assume? Those were defenitely AGS, I'm confident that this is as well
Looks neat, great to see people doing all sorts of different styles and games with AGS and not sticking only to the default standards

Currently it seems that the demo on itch.io is only available after buying the game, which kind of defeats the purpose of a demo. Or am I missing something or doing it wrong?

Oh shoot! My apologies about the demo, I shall fix that right away! Also, all my games are made in AGS, once I fix the demo you can see for yourself. AGS give me more freedom to be creative rather than work to limitations of RPG Maker :)

P.S the demo on itch.io has been fixed and is free! :)

Art looks very very good! It reminds me Spirited Away!

But I have a big problem with the demo: it doesn't even start, I only see a white room with a character that doesn't move although I can hear it's footsteps.

Had the same issue with the itch.io demo, it gives the steam_api.dll is missing error and then proceeds to that white screen. Weirdly, some of the functionality is still there, I can access the settings menu when I fumble around with the controls, for example.

I'm guessing you're using the same game/demo version for all store fronts? In that case, if the game has steam dependencies in the code, I'd recommend leaving the dll in the game folder for other stores as well, I've seen a few other itch games do it. Or you can also compile a new version without the steam stuff.

AGS has stubs for the known Steam plugins, if you simply delete the steam plugin from the game directory it should keep working, but the Steam API calls will all return false/null. Uhm, if anyone wants to ask specifically about the AGS Steam plugin it's best in the plugin forum topic, I perhaps should not have explained that here now...  :-\

I can remove the plugin from the demo but I may have to comment out all the steam code. The DLL should be included with all game files as I know the full game works on all storefronts from the feedback I was receiving, however, I'm unsure why the demo isn't. I'll double-check those demo files right away!

The demo on itch was incredibly outdated (almost 2 years old), I've added the latest demo and all should be good to go! :)

I've never seen this style for AGS games before. Looks nice.

The pixel art is beautiful! I agree with FireFlower, I've never seen this style in AGS before. I am so impressed and inspired!

After playing the demo, I bought it and I have to say I am so impressed by how well it moves and feels.

With such a vertically-long room, I was curious how you did that many walk-behinds (with fences and all) since AGS has such a limited amount of walk-behinds. I figured maybe you used objects too, but those, still, are in limited supply.

Anyway. Amazing work! Amazing use of AGS!

Keep it up!

Good game, a little bit fun. Too much dialogues in my opinion.
