So, it's pretty obvious now that whoever is behind this little scam is a complete retard under the impression that they're being really clever and cunning with what they're doing. Considering I got an almost idential email with an almost identical comment on a related thread yesterday from 'Guest' logged in as his forum name, suspicions have been hightened. Same here. They called me Flippy, ironically - my email address is the one username totally different, so it was obvious to me all they had done was find my usual name elsewhere on the net. Seeing I only post my email addy at here at NintendoHQ, and Rode had been having some problems, I figured they had just looked here. How very 'leet'.

The reason we "kicking up a fuss" is because it is very likely that it is a member of this board. If that is so I would very much like to see that member get banned. If it is just some lamer sending out random emails then I agree, there is no reason to pay attention to it. These emails are targeted at AGSers though. I pay for my bandwidth, if I can keep someone from abusing it...then I will.

Someone who sent those must be a member of the boards.
Someone who sent those must have done something to prevent him/herself from beeing suspected of the prank.
Hackerz.com does have an e-mail service anyone can sign up for so I doubt they would need to edit the "from" field.
They probably used one of those "hacker manuals" because  they didn't do anything significant and are behaving like script kiddies.
English is probably their second language because the grammar in the poem they posted on rodekill's page is awful even by my standards.
They are probably just lonely youths with no social skills as they posted their irc and e-mail adresses on the page they hacked(is that theire way of looking for fiends? Hmmm...)
They've done a very sloppy job.

There's evidence to prove all four theories.

It's just emails, this thread really should not cause fear or panic.  Besides, worst case scenario- some websites can be remodeled.  Change it back or leave it, either way-  life goes on.

I don't think these e-mails are aprt of some scheme to get us to but protection software...It's just some dumbass randomly picking e-mails and harrassing them. I believe this since one of my e-mails came from a prank e-mail site....

I'm a little confused by the whole "why is everyone getting upset" thing. The point is, I DON'T get spam at that email address. This is the first time EVER. It's because I don't ever use that email for anything but forums and my website. I have a yahoo account for other things. I get about 50 crap emails a day in that account. The problem is that it's possibly a member abusing the board. I'm not upset about it because the email itself was just stupid. I'm only upset about misuse of this forum. I'm here to make games, not have games played on me . Besides this isn't SPAM, each one of these emails has been written directly at us. They are not bulk emails. There is a big difference.

Honestly though, I don't think that's it. Each of the emails was customized in some way. I do believe that the "email person"/"rodekill.com hacker" may be the same person. They called me "junk" and asked Rode to design web pages and called him "Scumm"...even with a capital "S". Then again it could be very likely that it is just a regular member playing a joke (the emails part, not Rode's site).

Either way I would really like to know who reported my post to a moderator. I'm guessing that is the piece of trash that sent the emails. (<-- Evenwolf, notice how I pay attention to him! )

so, we have 3 possible situations so far...

1) The person has found the forum, and thought it would be fun to send strange 1337 e-mails to REGULAR MEMBERS.

2) Kikme has gotten bored, logged onto the forum, and sent 1337 e-mails. what makes this situation more likely than the last, is that its only REGULAR MEMBERS who have been getting the e-mails. Kikme obviously isn't a regular member, so how would the person have got his e-mail?

3) The person has gone onto the old forums, and found e-mails from there.
