Uncertainty Machine...

Hi, I've been playing the fine game that is the Uncertainty Machine and have gotten pretty far on my own.  But as I leave the newpaper office Susan says, "I think I should call it a day, but before I do I should go see inspector (whatever his name is)".  So I figure, heh, straightforward, sweet deal.  But when I go to the police station nothing happens, when I talk to him, there's no new conversation topics.  What do I do?
