Humbly edited out ...

What do you all think about the shit-storm of recent years about mp3 downloads?

Do you think the RIAA is justified?

Do you think they're (RIAA) just making things worse?

Do you download mp3?

Me personally, I have over 3500 mp3s on my secondary hard-drive.  I download like a mad man.  I was, up until about a year ago, still actively buying CDs.  Since the RIAA (and some artists) starting whining and making such a huge deal over this I stopped.

I go to a shit load of concerts which is, to my understanding, where the artist(s) get their money.  So screw the production companies and their capitalist greed.  I'm not giving them another cent until they a) lower prices of CDs or b) realize they're in the business of selling music and not selling CDs and get on board with mp3.

mp3 is here to stay!  Long live mp3!!

Please point me to another thread on this topic ... oh mighty one  :P

Oh look, another thread that's been done to death and that nobody ever has any hope of reaching agreements about.
