I tried adding more shoulder movement into this one:
[imgzoom]http://i.imgur.com/WLaEmHJ.gif[/imgzoom]
But I'm not sure if it isn't a little too much. Otherwise, this animation is far from complete, I think it still even has short arms, which I changed in the other animation.
The chest shading does move, but I can try adding a bit more.
I've been thinking about making my own 3D character and base the animation on it - I prefer working with 3D, so it seems silly to skip it in the animation process. The downside is that I'm as inexperienced in 2D as in 3D animation.
Thanks for your critique! I'm glad you like the style, and even more since I want my game (another one, post-apocalyptic, but with the same art style) have the great atmosphere your Pripyat Bridge of Death has!
Anyway, I won't be making much progress now, I have enough of sketching, drawing and modeling at university. :-)

It looks pretty cool.

There is a zombie game with 8 way directional isometric people. They had full running and walking animations you can prolly find the sprite sheet for a reference.

However they realized it was alot of work so they switched to 3D and rendered to low resolution frames giving it kinda the same effect. (Not as good looking but not bad.)

Its called project Zomboid. Also thanks for the compliment!

Ghost is doing well. I talked with him a few days ago on Steam. He's got an OSD project simmering in the background. Mostly he's on vacation, I think.

Don't bump, he's been gone forever and isn't coming back. :(

I guess you just never can tell eh?
With his quote you'd think I was dead...

Is good for lower rez stuff. Idk how it fairs with that. But changing the filter to NN in photoshop will stop it from blurring the lines.

Sox stuff edit looks great and it prolly wasn't that involved. :)

Add more movement into the shoulders. Its at like 95% awesomeness atm.

Also if you can adjust shading a bit to on the chest when he moves, but for me the static shoulder line is what I notice most.

Nice art!

What happened? This looked like it was getting good :(

Just been busy man. My kid and work and when I do find time for art I can get paid for it so I haven't been doing so much on my side projects.

Weirdly enough though the work I did on this game convinced me to learn more about Ukraine/Russia. Which led to me really getting into Slavic Language.

I've spent months in my free time learning Russian. I don't know a lot and its a many years process but its funny to go back and see that I named the game.

Echos of the Nezhyt and realize that Nezhyt is a combo of  Не and Ðâ€"иÃ'‚Ã'Å', which at the time I didn't understand and just asked a Russian guy to give me a transliteration.

I'd really love to work more on this I just don't have time atm. Maybe in the future! I think I released the project files to see if anyone wanted to use it.

I don't think anyone made anything from it afaik.

Edit: Oh and there is 1 emerald coin hidden in each set of levels. If you decide you want to search for them.

Ah, think I found one by accident when I fell to the bottom of a watery ditch. I wondered what that was all about, lol :cheesy:

Yep :) (We still have updated what they unlock tho, so no need to rush. Theres a achievement tho atm.) Thanks again!

Edit: Its free with ads on android, if anyone wants to try it and give some rating :)

Thanks man.

No other sound complaints and its been tested on most of the iStuff. :X Sound is a cool part of this game hehe.

With the coming halloween update, we have another control scheme set up, more of a classic dpad with action button no swiping. Some changes with water movement, you can now swim up.

7 new challenging levels, lion pig got all dressed up for halloween which wasn't shown in the video and some other tweaks.

As for your suggestions, both seem pretty valid. I'll see whats up. Halloween is coming up so fast trying to get this update out in time.

The story, we did have one but we just didn't get it in.

The idea was that he grew up playing other platformers and they could all jump. Being he had weak pig legs he couldn't really be as cool as the others.

So it was gonna be spread out at each level with some little flavor stuff and some images. Then at the end, you see he became a programmer and programmed the game.

Thanks for checking it out tho.

Edit: Oh and there is 1 emerald coin hidden in each set of levels. If you decide you want to search for them.

Halloween Update Coming Soon:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D817_TnvbPs

QuotePromo video of the upcoming Halloween Update for Lion Pig. It includes 6 new levels (5 core and 1 bonus), and they are definitely the most challenging yet. There is also 2 new songs, a secondary control option in the D-pad classic style, an option to restart levels from the pause menu automatically and some other features and improvements to the game. And there is also a halloween costume for Lion Pig (not shown in the video).

That is the best for sure.  But it needs a different background and the cup perspective seems slightly skewed on the right. (Could just be me.)
Also the tea thing needs a bit of a perspective fix.

Yeah it is gonna be pretty hard to reach I think. (Not sure if there is a wait time for projects that expired.)
He updated the post to reflect that funds not used on this will be used for future games using his engine.
