Hi guys,

I tried to participate in the replacement program for the Sunshine Blu-Ray disc. As you may know, it can't be played properly on some players, including my PS3.
Now I called their customer support, but they can send the replacement only to the US or Canada, although I have the US version.

Would any of you be willing to receive the replacement for me and send it on to Germany? I'll reimburse you for the shipping cost of course, I can pay via PayPal.

Now that the editor is open-source, is anybody working on getting all of these in there?

I think these tips are very useful for beginners and this thread gives a chance for every user to contribute, so I'm stickying this.

Ultima992: Looks like the crashes have been fixed since AGS v3.2.1 Final 2. So either wait for an updated version of the game to download or, in the meantime, copy the latest acwin.exe from the AGS folder to the game folder and run it like this:

"acwin.exe kq3.exe" (or whatever the name of the game executable is).

Glad to see this is still being worked on! I just checked the latest build of my old test game with the RC3 runtime. Runs great, but no sound unfortunately (Ubuntu 10.10):

Unable to initialize your audio hardware.
[Problem: Insufficient digital voices available]

Then again, using the older engine now also gives me no sound with no error messages...strange.

Btw, ScummVM also supports Discworld 2.

Are you using Ubuntu or another distro? What other files is it complaining about?
You can use this search engine to find packages containing the missing file.

Do this in a terminal to create a link to the current version of libxml:

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libxml2.so.2 /usr/lib/libxml.so.1

Links can be used just like regular files.

I must be doing something wrong, I cannot get any game to run, I always get the resolution error message. Can you post a sample config file we can use that definitely works on your system?

Btw, is it normal that it can't be skipped? Even Alt+X doesn't seem to work.

Didn't use the installer and copied the files myself, but it works like a charm, including sound & music!
Do I understand correctly that Allegro is now dynamically linked? What happens when Ubuntu issues an Allegro update?
