Frank Abagnale Jr. from "Catch Me If You Can" (Leonardo Di Caprio) - One of the slickest most charming scoundrels (*in-joke alert* guess whose been playing KOTOR) to hit the screen.
John McClane from "Die Hard" (Bruce Willis) - My favourite badass action hero to this day. I like his attitude.
Raoul Duke from "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (Johny Depp) - The most trippy bizzare character ever. I love the highly phylosphocial narration.
Micheal Corleone from "The Godfather" - Few other characters have been presented so authentically. Because of this, I find it easy to care about him.
Leonard Shelby from "Memento" (Guy Pearce) - Lenny is a person in trouble, who lives in his own world due to a physical problem. As such, he is hard not to pity him.
Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean" (Johny Depp) - Johny Depp, by far the most diverse of actors, hits again. You can't help but giggle at his style.
Jules Winnfield from "Pulp Fiction" (Samuel L. Jackson) - The big daddy of all black badarse characters. The only difference is that in some way, this one seems real and not way too exaggerated.
Mr. Pink from "Reservoir Dogs" (Steve Buscemi) - Again, an image of a professional, a typical sterotype in today's movies which was done without exaggeration by Tarnatino. Oh, and that dialog about tips does give him some points.
Oskar Schindler from "Schindler's List" (Liam Neeson) - No explanation needed.
Andy Dufresne from "The Shawshank Redemption" (Tim Robbins) - The epitome of efficiency. It is hard not to admire his will and mental strength.
Mickey from "Snatch" (Brad Pitt) - I think just being able to talk with that kind of accent requires some serious skills. I just love the way he fucks everything up, to everybody.
Javier Rodriguez Rodriguez from "Traffic" (Benicio Del Toro) - An absolutely beautiful character. He isn't a majestic hero, and yet little by little he does what he can in a corrupted work. A realistic hero, so to speak.
Guido Orefice from "La Vita e Bella" (Roberto Begnini) - No other character causes a mix of emotions in this one. Do I need to cry when I watch him, or laugh? Absolutely toching.

Well it took me a while, 70 hours, and I am through. A true masterpiece of gaming. Again, Bioware managed to find the perfect balance in an RPG, allowing every individual to craft his own game. The twist was surprisingly unexpected, and the characters were developed very nicely. Time to make myself the Sith Lord now.

Figo hijo de puta! Forca Azulgrana!

* Barcik wonders just how bad his grammar is.

I have asked for a DisplayBackgroundSpeechAt function recently and CJ has put it on his list.

KOTOR has the honour of being the first RPG to make me laugh out loud.

HK-47 (a sadistic droid): "[*CENSORED*] asked me what I thought of him and I informed him of his meatbag status."

Err... DG... can you rent a bit of space to the Ergos?

My daily viewing program is limited to History Channel. TV Serials ask for too much loyalty - "be every day/week at ___ hours on your couch!".

Unlike in Jedi Knight games, you don't participate in the combat yourself. You just click the opponent and your character does the rest.

Well isn't that great.... trusty sidekick Barcik here again to save the situation! Well, I wonder what happens now....

I'll try reaching Andail and ask for the votes.

I am not sure about it, but I've heard he is a a socio (member) of FC Barcelona. Of course, that doesn't have to mean he is a fan.

The string you declared is named 'buffer', and yet the string where you try to enter the number is called 'number'.
It should be:

string number;
InputBox("Enter number", number);
if (number == "1234") Display("Hello.");

#333
Or if you do wish to use scripting....

Code: ags

SetGlobalInt(1,0);

if (character[GetPlayerCharacter()].activeinv==__) { //put the number of the key here
   if ((GetGlobalInt(1)==0) {
   SetGlobalInt(1,1);
   //script for door opening animtion here
   } else
   Display("The door is already open."); } else
   Display("This item doesn't fit."); }

//script for use door
if (GetGlobalInt(1)==1)
 NewRoom(_); else //put the number of the room here
 Display("You must open the door first.");

Wouldn't it be possible that everyone can submit a banner of his own favourites and let the website decide every day, which one it displays?  :)

Based on this idea - perhaps what is needed is several (4-5) banners, and every time it loads one of them would be picked randomly.

Happy Hanukkah everybody!

Goldmund, are you familiar with Russian cinema?

I'd disagree with that. The plot structure and future are all Asimov derived. Perhaps the use of the title to explicitly state the nature of the the plot was misguided, but it is very much in the Asimov vein, and of the nature of Caves Of Steel, The Naked Sun and The Robots Of Dawn, that is, mysteries that hinge on the 3 laws.

It seems to fit this structure, yes, but I have a feeling that the Three Laws were added to the initial draft by the studio's request.

Goldmund:
I think Solaris (the movie) was a good adaptation to Solaris (the book) - it kept faithful to its unique atmosphere.

Ok, somebody needs to make the Hobbit now...

Peter Jackson promised to do it one day. I am sure funding won't prove to be a problem.

BTW, would you describe "foreign" films as more "non-English language"?

Not exactly. Many British films still vary from the common Hollywood line of production. Monty Python, The Full Monty, Snatch are all examples of this.
